After years of wondering, I finally scratched my own itch:
I built a VPS with Docker + Traefik that spins up unique, isolated testing environments for Laravel on every open PR. On merge/close it tears down the env and cleans up.
Might open source the server build script after a few tweaks.
Had to have a stern word with ChatGPT today.
How adorable!
Having kids is the best thing I’ve ever done! The feeling is truly hard to explain.
Enjoy parenthood mate.
Congrats bro!
Oooof what happened?
I’m gonna DM you very soon! Thank you ❤️
Surprisingly well. Took some timeout to remember the why, and who I’m doing this for, and that got me right back where I needed to be.
Thanks for the advice!
Disconnected from the internet for a little bit today to recharge and I’m feeling on top form again.
In our busy life’s we get so caught up with the hustle, that we forget that sometimes you just need a break.
Even if it’s just for 1 hour.
If you haven’t touched grass today, go and do it!
I’ve got a lot of unfinished projects. My latest one stopped becoming challenging so I lost interest. A few thousand lines deep in :(
I might just give this a try!
Amazing advice Andrea! I’ll be exploring this today.
Alright I need a new game to play this weekend. Need a break from FPS for a bit lol
😂 that game gets so frustrating super quickly
I think I’m going through a rough period where I’m lacking inspiration.
How do you combat this? Or do you just wait it out?
Haha
Found out very quickly threads is a weird place to be
Killing it bro! Well done
Spot on. I agree!
Couldn’t agree more on hacker term. I think there might need to be a different term then used for makers that are doing it for hobbies. And those doing it to make money
Hope you had a blessed day!
Yeah I think that word also sits in the indie hacker category imo. It feels very “I’m just about making it work”
When building products it’s important to be taken serious, because it shows your potential buyer/user you’re not just going to disappear in a months time etc.
I also think it’s important when your customer isn’t another maker.
Trying to figure out a new word, and put together a website/manifesto for builders everywhere.
I think a rebrand and a more inclusive/helpful community would really help the creator economy.
Currently it feels like a lone wolf, everyone for themselves community.
A wins a win! Congrats on the sale buddy 🎉
It can't be just me who feels that the terms "indie hacker" or "maker" make your product seem less serious.
There needs to be a new word and meaning for this.
Does anyone else feel this way? #buildinpublic
Anyone from London/Kent on here?
gonna dm you sir
