Into My Heart an Air that Kills
Into my heart an air that kills
From yon far country blows:
What are those blue remembered hills,
What spires, what farms are those?
That is the land of lost content,
I see it shining plain,
The happy highways where I went
And cannot come again.

The damage Trump is doing to the US and the rest of the world is incalculable and will take decades to address.
And we have two and half years more unless the US can galvanise itself to affect the 25th amendment

APRIL SUN AND SHOWERS
I am in my childhood home’s kitchen editing an article for future publication.
To the accompaniment of Radio 3 the sun shines, the rain gently falls, tea is drunk, and Sunday passes peacefully.
My back garden needs work, but it will wait. Time enough to let nature roam.
GLASTONBURY by George Wingfield
‘Few would guess that a small market town in Somerset was once considered the holiest ground in England…’
An excellent beginner’s guide to the ‘numinous and magical power of Glastonbury, ancient Isle of Avalon.’
A place I am very proud to call my home.

Who?
Is Bryan Adams’ ‘(Everything I Do) I Do It for You’ still number one? I’m a bit out of touch.
The final TMA of this year’s @openuniversity.bsky.social module, Understanding Politics - the globalisation of human rights. Very timely!
On a personal note, I’m sat at the kitchen table in my childhood home on a Sunday night, doing my homework. Where is Annie Nightingale when you need her most?
Yes, indeed. And very well deserved.
A fantastic achievement, Ally 😊
The best ‘zine there is.

I can only agree with this. Val gave me a lovely and completely unsolicited quote for my Venice series. It remains one of the most thrilling things that's happened to me.
TODAY’S BOOK POST 🖤
I have such great interviewing gigs coming up this summer…
#NowPlaying Bach, St John Passion (Pygmalion, Raphael Pichon). A week early, I know. This is a new release and I'm just just digging my way into it, but I think this might be up there with the best. From the opening "Herr, Unser Herscherr", this is razor sharp, thrilling stuff.
A spring windmill.
