South Gaza: Tents, Food & Water **With Famine on the rise, we will significantly lower tent purchases and focus on food (rice and bread) and water over the next couple of weeks**

We have three urgent requests today:

1. Contribute to a trusted org or individual fundraiser. Don't keep scrolling..

We know that the many requests can get overwhelming - like your contribution won't make a dent. But we have strength in numbers.

The Scapegoating of Trans People in Trump’s America How social media promotes a cycle of admiration and resentment in an influencer-driven world – and why the transgender community is at the centre of its violence

"Trans people are not scapegoated because we are different. We are scapegoated because we seemingly undermine difference itself. Social structures tolerate difference within their order, but we present a difference to the order." www.frieze.com/article/scap...

Khalil Case Shows How Migrant Justice and Palestine Solidarity Are Tied Together The detention of Columbia University activist Mahmoud Khalil was made possible by the normalization of deportation.

For @truthout.org I wrote about Mahmoud Khalil’s detention, how Trump is capitalizing on the normalization of incarcerating immigrants to enforce his creeping fascist agenda, and why this moment calls for us to bridge across our movements for social change. truthout.org/articles/kha...

This is why we must fight for everyone. Whether they’ve been incarcerated or have had contact with the criminal legal system or are merely undocumented. When you accept that some people are deserving of detention and deportation the scope of who is eligible is always under threat of expanding.

House GOP Budget Would Raise Health Care Costs for the Poor to Pay the Rich The push to slash health care to pay for Trump’s tax cuts will come back to haunt Republicans.

Medicaid and related programs provide health insurance for nearly 80 million adults and children, but potential cuts outlined would leave millions with less money to pay for food and housing while boosting incomes for the extremely wealthy by 3.9%.
