Or don’t. Perhaps we all stay quiet and pretend it’s not happening so I can get my anxiety under control.

Listen. I know it was “only” Wolves, but dammit Leeds won. I will henceforth only be listening to industrial noise rock until the end of the season. No questions at this time. Now let us turn our attention to the New York Knickerbockers who will be the death of me.

Past a certain revenue scale make it so that the CEO has personal liability for their stock options in perpetuity. Every company would suddenly become the most ethical firm alive.

Oh, we’re about to see Brendan Carr do live mental math on whether the FCC has jurisdiction over a federal judge in California. Gonna be like a dog chasing its own tail.

Name three people from this app you would most want to watch a NBA playoff game with in real life.

My top 3:

“…could cost him his job” paired with “so intoxicated his security team could not wake him” does not match. We have functioning alcoholics running the military and the FBI. What have they leaked when blackout drunk?

Good for him but I am tired of learning about all the ways a 41-year-old candidate for U.S. Senate supposedly has a lot more growing and learning to do. Maybe do that before the Senate? And maybe try out a lower office before then?

Or maybe we just watch him blossom into another Sinema/Fetterman.

Fantastic reporting. Dolan is more of a paranoid creep than I knew. I guess we know the team at @wired.com won’t be seeing Knicks’ games anytime soon.

When people ask me about "AI" policy, I like to point out that there is policy being made at many different levels and even if our national government is currently a shitshow, local action really matters, like zoning against data centers and "AI" policy in schools.

Mamdani hasn't had time to really think about all that space he now has, because he spends most of his time at City Hall and around New York City. He tries to keep a semblance of his old life by getting around the city on foot, by bike or train.

"If you spend every single day driving around in a tinted window security detail, you will have a very specific view of the city," he said. "You actually meet other New Yorkers and you break out of the bubble that so many have come to expect of politics, where politicians only seem to be spending time with other politicians or the people who donated to make them politicians."

I'd say that this applies to anyone traveling in a car in any city. Being in a car versus walking, riding, or taking transit fundamentally changes how you view a place and your relationship to it. I wish more leaders set this kind of example.
