I wrote this poem in response to the #Trump #Vance #Zelensky meeting to process the feelings it stirred up.
Yes, it’s about war and diplomacy.
But, on a purely human level, seeing someone bullied the way Zelenskyy was in the Oval Office was very distressing. It resonates with anyone who’s ever been ignored, dismissed or gaslit.
This was needed.
People really think that DEI means they give unqualified people jobs.
