It pisses me off so much when I see those ChatGPT ads where someone gets advice for sticking to a running routine or opening a restaurant — all that information is stolen from folks who have done actual research studies, run trials, written blogs, published essays & books. Fucking thievery.

Thought so! I think for my farmers, who are 4th gen, and organic, they have been preparing to be able to fix their own equipment (so insane how big tech/licenses, etc restrict this), use less water, less energy. I feel so fortunate to have them in my life and community.
I see you have goats in your profile, so my CSA suggestion might be moot? So what insecurity do you feel most? I have always been poor so economic restrictions are status quo. Have you ever been to a native reservation? Remember BIPOC folks have survived what you are afraid of for centuries.
Look for farmer CSA's. Most in my area, Boulder, have payment plans. I paid for my veggies, olive oil, and fruit that I pick up June- January over the last few months. It breaks down to about $10/day. I have done this for over a decade and am considered low-income in my area. I budget for this.

I need to dissociate long enough to graduate. Getting calls students need baby formula and more food than food bank has. Have so much pressure to make good on my project and defense. Lots of students crashing out and need what I can't afford-time. Fascism and more war straining our hearts. Phew.
