I swear I’m going to open an Etsy shop selling only potted grass so these people can finally — likely for the first time in their lives — touch fucking grass!

Among the Eternal Champions, Elric gets all the attention, but the Corum stories have always been my favourite! Sepulchral fever-dreams of doomed grandeur! Aching, baroque, sublime!
Absolutely fascinating interview!
Eliminating libraries in prisons is a disaster, completely shortsighted. Libraries are a lifeline for incarcerated people who want to learn and grow, and have few other options.
Gonna carry "keep your eyes closed, your mouth shut, and live off the rain and the dirt" with me for a long while.

Great to see some After Hours love! I sometimes feel like I’m the only person who’s seen this movie!
A lot of big #ttrpg crowdfunders are launching today! Don't miss out on us smaller folks who are already live though. My @morkborg.com megadungeon Inkvein is 250+ pages of caving horror. You can grab the quickstart dungeon on the project page right now! www.backerkit.com/c/projects/s... #osr
Just Launched: DIE: Metadungeon (7:07am) Just Launched: Castle Whiterock (7:08am) Just Lunched: Castle Zagyg Galleries of the Arch Mage 2 (7:09am)
Well, that's some weird timing.
Some exciting products! Metadungeon for DIE by @kierongillen.bsky.social, by Gareth Ryder-Hanrahan, is the one definitely on my buy-list, since it's history related. (I actually handed him a bunch of Designers & Dragons drafts to offer whatever support I could.)
So many TTRPG launches today! That includes Backerkit’s Mega Dungeon Month, which features megadungeons from Monte Cooke Games, Rowan Rook and Decard, Kobold Press, Goodman Games and so many more. www.backerkit.com/c/collection...
My name is [NAME] and I'm calling from [PLACE]. I'm calling because I am deeply alarmed by President Trump's threats to destroy Iranian civilian infrastructure and his statement that a whole civilization will die tonight. Legal experts and human rights organizations have made clear that deliberately targeting civilian infrastructure is a war crime under international law. This war has been launched and escalated without a formal declaration or authorization from Congress, in direct violation of the Constitution. Congress — not the president — holds the power to declare war. That authority is not optional, and it can't be delegated away by silence. Waging war without congressional authorization is an impeachable offense. The Constitution's framers were explicit: the power to take the country to war belongs to Congress precisely to prevent a single executive from dragging the nation into conflict unchecked. What is happening right now — a president unilaterally conducting an ongoing air war, threatening mass civilian casualties, and openly defying the War Powers Act — meets that bar. I am asking [NAME] to support articles of impeachment. This is not a partisan request. It is a constitutional one. At the minimum, I'm asking Representative/Senator [NAME] to use every tool available to check this administration — including voting against war funding, invoking the War Powers Act, and publicly speaking out against threats of collective punishment of Iranian civilians. Silence is complicity. As my elected representative, you have a constitutional duty to act as a check on executive power — not to stand aside while it is abused. Your consituents will be watching how [NAME] responds to this moment. Thank you.
Record showing my three calls to Ben Ray Luján, Martin Heinrich, and Gabe Vasquez
I just got off my third phone call to DC; here's the script I wrote. Don't just post through it; take some action.
Backed it, now I need to decide which of the collabs I can afford to back …
Tucker Carlson … the voice of reason … I need a drink
in 1964, the NASA budget was $70 billion in modern dollars. in 2026 it's $24.4 billion. if funding NASA really was the thing preventing the US from fighting poverty and homelessness, you'd think there would have been measurably positive results over the last sixty years
It’s appalling how many of those points reproduce Nazi thinking on Entartete Kunst, or “degenerate art.”
I've got some exciting news...
As a way of saying thank you to the TTRPG community for all the love and support y'all have given me for Breathless over the years, I decided to fully revamp the original pamphlet and giive it for free for y'all to enjoy some zombie survival horror gaming ^^

I really appreciate this TikToker with Tourette syndrome, Shay, for taking the time to educate so many of us (including me) about her disability and coprolalia in light of what happened at the BAFTAs with John Davidson when Michael B. Jordan and Delroy Lindo were on stage.
I learned a lot.
A manga-style comic page titled “Doing Things” explaining TTRPG skill checks in Tenra Bansho Zero. A player declares “I’m going to get across the river by jumping over it,” and the GM picks the skill (Movement) and attribute (Agility: 8). The player rolls 8 dice, counting any that meet or beat their skill level as successes. Here, Movement at 3 dots means rolls of 1, 2, or 3 count. The bottom row introduces Difficulty: normally one success is enough, but harder tasks (like a sheer cliff across the river, Difficulty 3) need more. The player only rolls two successes and falls in.
One thing I’ve seen that I thought works well and blends …
- Written examples (“Imagine that Tom does it, like this”)
… with …
- Infographics, storyboards, flowcharts
… is comics. The only example I can think of off-hand is from Tenra Bansho Zero.
the final draft of seven-part pact is done and is in its final stage of playtesting! if you want to come help playtest, read this post: www.patreon.com/posts/151018...
Okay, serious face, though:
If we actually do want to move the way we talk about TTRPGs "forward" on the theory front, develop that more beyond the bounds of academia, here's what we need to do:
Start treating clarified views of gaming as distinct lenses you can put on and take off.

It’s like they watched a bunch of dystopian sci-fi movies and went “hey, great idea!” over and over again.
