I'm already willing to compliment him when he does something good / something right. With a President who is so focused on getting people to like him, complimenting his good points is probably the easiest way to change his behavior.
One thing about people forget about Standard Time is that it gets dark early. For part of the year, this means kids getting off the school bus and walking home in the dark.
I know people hated all-DST in the 1970s. That was because it was "to save fuel" like the (also hated) 55MPH speed limit.
There's a reason why we have DST 8 months and Standard time 4 months. I'm against the time shifting, but when we stop, we need to keep daylight saving or move each state one timezone to the east.
The official data is at www.dol.gov/agencies/vet... but its definitions may be different from what regular people mean when they talk about such things. The rate seems to be much lower than I would expect.
