They will be installing the millwork tomorrow, and I expect (hope?) there will be some snags. Everyone was happy with the tiles, which were done last week.

You really can!
The latest is that Sammy is dropping off the paint samples for the exterior tomorrow prior to the meeting, which is at 2pm.
Someone whose dog I used to walk, an architect, mistakenly put me on a group text with a dozen people who are renovating a house (including the homeowners), because one of the vendors is also named Amanda. I told him about the error but I have still been hearing about this in detail since January
I fw Yodels. Also a Drake’s cake!
The best snack cake is Devil Dogs by a wide margin. Tastykake makes a good product overall, but Drake’s beats them every time on Devil Dogs and coffee cake alone. Hostess for me is an also-ran, they declined sharply decades ago
Having to leave your cat alone overnight really feels like “By the Time I Get to Phoenix”

Haha, thanks. Imagine how long I have had it stuck in my head!
Just threw myself onto the pavement like an outfielder to catch a loose dog that was barreling up the street. I did not even catch him! (He was eventually caught by a doorman 100 yards and one busy avenue later)
Marathon show #2 with co-host BUCCI, from a couple few days back. You can still PLEDGE and hopefully you will! 🦚🦚🦚🦚🦚

A tuxedo cat has his paw on a (partially visible) man’s lap who is holding a piece of dried grass. They are both sitting on a shelf in a grocery store with cleaning supplies and a big roll of plastic wrap; in front of them is a deli case with milk
LONG-AWAITED UPDATE! I stopped in today and saw Popcorn playing dried grass game with his dad. Meanwhile, his mom told me that he’s a good boy and she never sees mice in the shop. There are little cat toys strung up all over the shop for him.
OHITF MARTHON WEEK TWO OMG!!!!!!! Pledge here starting in half an hour omg: pledge.wfmu.org/donate?program=OU

So Philip Glass just joined TikTok. He only has like 4 posts and they’re simply him in what I assume is his living room playing the piano. First comment on one I saw was “your piano is too close to the fireplace, you’ll dry it out” and if that’s not the internet in a nutshell I don’t know what is.
Love this list of Tom’s favorite WFMU shows 😍 thanks, sir!

Photo of snowy Madison Square Park with buildings visible including Empire State Building, and someone holding their hand up to record sound. Text: Soundscapes of My City: Original New York sounds in the 2020s, Recorded and Narrated by Amanda / WFMU marathon premium - not for sale / Out Here in the Field 2026
Similar photo, the cover of the album Sounds of My City by Tony Schwartz, which shows him leaning against a fence looking at the Empire State Building with his sound-equipment case at his feet.
My @wfmu.bsky.social marathon premium CD looks as good as it does thanks to geniuses @gregcircanow.bsky.social and Ted Barron. They created a Folkways-tastic masterpiece!
Ladybug, although I always set her free right away
It is though! Just break up the Far Side caption into two lines. (Porcu-lines)
A magazine open to a two-page spread with a block of text (story I wrote) embedded in the middle of one side. Colorful, cartoon-like images that bleed all the way to the edges. A hand covers the text so it can’t be totally read unless you get a copy of LCD #30.
Chuffed to have a flash fiction piece in issue #30 of LCD, the @wfmu.bsky.social program guide! @mattcrabe.bsky.social is the brilliant mind behind the artwork.
I saw a pretty good little terrier walking through the Oculus on the way here; in other news, OHITF is on the air momentarily, please join me! www.wfmu.org/playlists/sh...
