here's one for @sweiwang.bsky.social
I think this is still at a pretty rough stage... "Front Matter" is a paper with no repository :)
Join us in congratulating Donald Andrews for being recognized as an AEA 2026 Distinguished Fellow!
His work has had a lasting influence on many topics in modern econometrics, and has repeatedly changed how econometric problems are understood.

The Confederate diaspora—small but powerful and ideologically intense—reshaped culture across the U.S. through influence, organizational mobilization, and political leverage.

From personal experience I think the self-control problem mentioned in the first essay is very real.
Deadloch is one of the best comedy shows out there. Season 2 not quite as wild as season 1, but still extremely funny.

So weird: there's more than one scammy memorial site inviting donations or tree-planting in my dad's memory.
We are not asking for that, but if people feel moved, donations in lieu of flowers to www.aclu-mn.org, www.aclu.org, or www.eff.org

In 1905, Pittsburgh quietly changed the way the world would be entertained. On June 19, downtown at 433–435 Smithfield Street, showmen Harry Davis and John P. Harris opened the Nickelodeon, a tiny storefront theater devoted exclusively to showing moving pictures. The first of its kind. For just a
Interesting piece but if this claim is true that means students/parents don't actually care about teaching quality?
"colleges and universities have no incentive to define or measure teaching quality and have not funded serious controlled studies"

"This fall, I presented my paper, 'More of a Comment than a Question, ' at the main conference in my field. Because the college has eliminated travel funding for faculty, I covered the cost by selling off-season Girl Scout cookies to adults having panic attacks over the election."
Part of what could also be going on with non US jobs is a decline in JOE usage versus alternative ways to post, particularly for Europe

This is horrifying.
