I have never in my life seen so many life-altering shows nor have I met so many kind, good people. People. Whether bands, friends, friends in bands, followers and readers of this page, people were the light that enabled me to see and feel the music I love so much.

An ode to @roadburnfest

Saying shit is hard to process is a cliche, so I won't say that. I'll say that what I experienced in (FINALLY) getting to Roadburn was a cross between holy communion, family reunion, conference, and cool hang.

And appreciate the kind words very much.

Agree that The Deal is basically a reflection of that moment, and I also agree that they have moments of huge emotion a bit later on, but I think that the dead-limb, a-tonal thing never really left them all the way. Almost like a lingering trauma/idea.
