Decent signing I’d say. Experienced, free transfer. Won’t be on huge wages. Doesn’t eat too much into the funds for a striker and creativity higher up the pitch.

No doubt PL clubs who got their way of getting replays scrapped, will then fly their players thousands of miles for lucrative end of season friendly games - Spurs and Newcastle did it last summer.
Don’t agree with the jeering of Woodman during the game. But too many mistakes from him this season and I’d be looking elsewhere for a keeper long term. I didn’t think Whiteman was as poor as some have made out, but maybe an over-reliance on playing through him. His passing stats were actually good.
Second half far better than the first for PNE today. Keane for Whiteman at half-time was a sub which improved us greatly. Cornell did enough to stay in for the next game. Thordarson my man of the match. Nice to see Hecky try something different with Bowler playing an hour. Fine goal by Riis.
Good point for PNE. Looked well drilled and disciplined when they didn’t have the ball, limited Stoke to very little. Better side in the second half, just lacked creativity going forward. Thordarson and Whiteman very decent. Woodman however…..
It was a dreadful game, both sides poor with very little quality. We need five or six signings in January.
