King’s Academy Jazz: Night of Jazz is taking place on Feb. 16th, 2025 at 7 p.m. on a livestream found on the 54 Below website. This event helps celebrate the works of trail blazing African American artist of the early 20th century which are still influential to this day.

The livestream showcases works from the Great American Songbook which is influenced by jazz, blues, and gospel. All genres which are rooted in African American musical traditions. Artists like Duke Ellington, Fats Waller, and Eubie Blake contributed compositions to the Great American Songbook.
