My idea for today's story was to look at what happened through the eyes of USAID workers who settled in Maine, hoping that would bring readers to the topic who otherwise would skip over these stories

These federal workers lost their jobs. They’re starting over in Maine. Former aid workers, whose careers took them around the globe, are carving out new opportunities across the state.
