Ravens GM Eric DeCosta said plenty at the team's pre-draft news conference, but how much of it was a smokescreen? Takeaways from the team's annual Liars' Luncheon.

DeCosta on positional value: "If the guy is a great football player who can change the face of your program, you take them."
Points out that some of the organization's best ever players played "non-premium" positions.
DeCosta said that he feels Utah OT Spencer Fano can play anywhere along the OL.
He said Vega Ioane is "straight out of central casting in terms of what you want your guards to look like."
DeCosta: "The positions that we need, we feel really strongly about in this draft."
He said tight ends, in particular, has guys all over the draft.
DeCosta downplays the importance of this being a "trench-heavy" type of draft. He said the Ravens need to be strong everywhere.
Asked about how Madubuike's situation impacts Ravens' DL plans in the draft, Eric DeCosta said it won't affect the Ravens much.
"We just try to rank the board. Certainly we'd love to get a young defensive lineman if we can. We want to get better upfront on both sides."

DeCosta did say that they have more draftable offensive linemen this year than last year.
Feels like there will be a lot of OL even on Day 3 that could help the Ravens.
DeCosta said that the Ravens have a few less draftable players this year than last year. Said the Ravens have 197 "draftable players" on their board.
"We think it's solid draft. First round wise, there's definitely a drop off probably mid first-round in terms of talent."
DeCosta: "I like having 11 picks right now. We may end up with 14, we may end up with 6. It remains to be seen."
Eric DeCosta: “Really happy with what everyone has accomplished the last 6 to 8 weeks. Excited about next week.”
DeCosta said the Ravens see tremendous value with OL and WR classes. Called pick No.14 a sweet spot for those positions.
Ravens pre-draft news conference with Eric DeCosta and Jesse Minter will begin shortly.
