It does make sense. It stands to reason that the more important characters are paid more. You pay the main characters who are front and center on all 23 episodes of the season more than the side characters who play a smaller role and appear on 18 episodes. Get moved to a main role, get paid more.

..a match for the sake of having a match. They could have given the women 15 minutes to do something meaningful.
They have a formula and it's very frustrating. One match, one or two backstage promos, and it's usually grouped together. They did the exact same Hurt Syndicate in-ring promo 3 weeks in a row. Do that backstage and give the women a match.
Briscoe vs Ricochet a couple weeks ago was good but it was..
To be fair, while it hasn't gotten nearly enough screen time, Stat has been trying to get Willow to accept her apology for months. It's not a lot, but it's something. This week was finally a little advancement of that story.
Match was okay. Everyone knew Jericho was going to retain because he was already feuding with HHH and Stephanie, and people spent the match just waiting for the nWo to interfere.
I remember liking the match more than most people at the time though.
He didn't do the little hip swivel Eddie style, but Austin did three consecutive superplexes from 3 corners to Jericho at No Way Out 2002.
I'll allow it!
Just gotta bring in Lio Rush when Dax needs to take time off because he's got a peanut allergy.
So if he's Dax "The Axe" is his partner Cash "The Smash"? #AEWCollision
I agree. Especially with the internet, it's not difficult to keep yourself relevant.
Mox' last WWE match was April 21 and he appeared at Double or Nothing on May 25. He didn't get fired, so if AEW had a show on May 1 he would have been there.

The entirety of Big Gay Brunch and DDT Goes Vegas were great. Bloodsport was really good, and the Clusterfuck was fun. Mark Hitchcock show was okay but the crowd wasn't ready yet.
Sonny vs. Abadon and Effy vs. Sheik were also great!
Fair enough!
His ceiling in New Japan is "big guy who wins a lot, but never the really important matches". He makes other people look good. Might as well do that in the US and get paid probably 3x what he's making now.
... Spin kicks are bad now?
He is! And it's awesome!
"Smartest guy in the locker room"
"KANE IS IMPOSING HIS AMERICAN WILL!"
LOL right? ๐ค
Ken Jeong is a wrestling fan and also a giant ham. He always plays to the camera like an idiot when he's at shows. It's great. Dude just seems happy to be alive.
Cut the match time for the main event in half and run the exact same finish it would have been a million times better.
As it stands, Christian losing and Swerve being a superhero was great.
To be fair a lot of the stuff Excalibur says doesn't offer a ton of context. People who are familiar with the history understand it, but those unfamiliar are only getting a tiny bit of the story.
Other than discussing the personal life of Jimmy Rave they have a talked about it a good amount. Excalibur has given a good explanation of the history a few times.
Haven't mentioned Rave? Nana did bring him up in the promo where he tried to get Ricochet to give him back the robe, but out of respect he just said "ones we've lost" instead of naming him.
Excalibur has talked a lot about the robe's overall meaning on commentary.
The heck is the context? Was he tossed but his assailant is out of the shot?
Grabbed them the other day. Cried for hours when I learned they were the wrong ones.
There's also two different types of the flat eggs. The one on the left is crap and the one on the right is great.
