Test background I drew

A drawing I did of a redesign for Dandy and his Twisted from from Dandy's World. I went for a more Disney/Don Bluth/Kosperry-esque design, to emulate how many cartoons/games/etc. with a cartoony style often tried to emulate that sort of style. For Dandy's prime form, I took inspiration from the Alien Nerds from Space Jam (Warner Bros, I know, but it's clear that there is some inspiration from that sort of art style with the construction and deisgn of the characters), and Squim from Smiling Friends (Kosperry did the design for Squim). I gave him gloves and a leaf tail to amplify the "toon" aspect of him. For his Twisted form, I took inspiration from the Monstars from Space Jam, Thrax from Osmosis Jones, and Hexxus from Ferngully. I wanted to go for a more "pollution" type of look for the Twisted form, to contrast Dandy being an anthropomorphic flower (which is nature), which is why the black parts of his body are now represented by sludge, and also why there's an exhaust pipe for a tail and mushrooms on his back. The green growths on his face are a contrast to the green cheeks his prime form has too.
