Why are we doing this you ask? There have been a million new social apps that die within weeks or months. Why is this different?
Well, for one, it's built entirely on the Fediverse, which NO ONE has done in the US.

Finally - Find Out Media will control the app and enforce our moderation policies, which are basically don't be an asshole. And if you're an asshole, you're banned.
We are trying to build an app that is fun, but also engaging. And we have no time for trolls and bots.
This isn't what we are banking on to make us profitable. This is a place for folks on the left to have unfiltered conversations without bots and trolls (which will be banned). We want this to feel like old school social media.
Where you were not worried about algorithms or being shadow banned.
First - this app cost relatively little to develop. We partnered with the Newsmast Foundation to build our app.
They've worked with other groups before, so the base of the app was already built. We mostly had to chose colors, look and feel, and what channels would have their own feeds.

Find Out Media is gearing up for launch of the Find Out Media Social App - which is built on the Fediverse and cannot be controlled by any billionaire.

I’ll be honest - running a business like find out media - it’s really hard not to use their tools. We are all remote so sharing docs is essential and I don’t know how to do that with our their work tech unfortunately.
But the app will not touch them at all. And we are hosting outside of the us.
