I was a teen parent, and patronizing "children having children" shit was an actual problem, that hurts real people and ruins lives. People encouraging teens to have children are tame in comparison.

I don't know when it was ever the case that teenagers were being gaslit into giving birth, but not calling parents, or legal adults, 'children' would be a good thing as far as stopping gaslighting goes.
