There's also no telling what this could spiral into if e.g., China gets involved on a spare missile parts level, as some outlets reported. Beijing sources 50% of its crude and 30% of gas from Persian Gulf. Hydrocarbons are a country's lifeblood. Japan entered WWII because of US oil embargo...

Scientists invented a fake disease. AI told people it was real Bixonimania doesn’t exist except in a clutch of obviously bogus academic papers. So why did AI chatbots warn people about this fictional illness?

This is quite extraordinary- scientists set a kind of trap for AI chat bots by inventing a fake disease. AI told people it was real and… the deliberately bogus preprints started being cited in peer reviewed literature 🫣

"Croesus then asked if he should make war on the Persians and if he should take to himself any allied force. The oracles to whom he sent this question included those at Delphi and Thebes. Both oracles gave the same response, that if Croesus made war on the Persians he would destroy a mighty empire."

China's fixed-asset investment up 4.1 pct in first two months China's fixed-asset investment went up 4.1 percent year on year in the first two months of this year, 0.9 percentage points higher than the full-year growth rate of 2024, official data showed Monday.

Recent uptick in China's FAI data suggests that the 'overcapacity' issues won't end anytime soon. At the same time, more Chinese deflationary exports will act as a damper on the incoming inflation shock, just as it did during the 2000s. Europe should hedge its bets english.www.gov.cn/archive/stat...

Out of all the commodities, natgas is probably the one with the least public information out there for retail guys. As a random person on the internet, you can reliably find analysis for everything from cocoa markets to lithium. But natgas like TTF really doesn't have any reliable analysis out there
