If you smoke in the park (AND leave your litter), just know that this Hermit Thrush is judging you 🤨🪶

A Hermit Thrush on the ground - a medium brown bird with a reddish tail and a speckled white chest & underside. The ground is shadowy, but the bird is lit by bright afternoon sunlight, their back to the camera, looking back/to the left. In the foreground is a swath of gray out-of-focus rock. In the background are small green shoots and leaves, and out-of-focus tree trunks, branches, and greenery. The bird is standing on dead leaves and dirt, with a green leaf sprouting nearby.
The same Hermit Thrush in the previous photo, having moved to the right, now standing in front of a previously out-of-focus sprig of leaves, and more in shadow. Their back is still to the camera, but they are now looking back/to the right

Blue Jay in Central Park, April 2026
Blue Jay bathing in shallow water - leaning forward into the water, blurry with motion, exact head shape indecipherable, tail and some wing feathers out and up, brilliantly blue in the sunlight, water spraying out in all directions

A Blue Jay standing in water, just finishing a bath, lit by the afternoon sun, a light spray of water droplets around them. The Jay’s feathers are soggy, the water is reflecting greens and browns from nearby trees, rocks, and algae

A mood and a vibe
Close up photo of a black, white and orange bird in the leaves, head up, beak open, eyes wide as he calls loudly.

100% 😅
My own feelings about the origins of our space program are complicated, but I feel a deep sadness for people who think the Moon landing and all subsequent space exploration are fake. What a narrow, suffocating world they have to inhabit.
Really I should have known better than to post anything NASA-related on TikTok lol
Is it ever 😂
I love it when ignorant people comment on my posts, actually. It’s very helpful. Lets me know exactly who I need to block.
The joyful, wonder-filled Artemis scenes contrast with our nation's leaders, people who have ascended to the pinnacles of power & wealth—and yet couldn’t day-to-day be more miserable, a fact that they all collectively broadcast with every fiber of their being. www.doomsdayscenario.co/p/the-pure-j...
So proud of my close personal friends 🥹
I’m sorry, and thank you 💔🩷

Look at her 🥹 She went all the way around the Moon!
A picture of my laptop screen, of the live broadcast of the Artemis II mission. The Orion Integrity capsule floats on blue water with three large orange spherical floats on top. closed captioning reads “the spacecraft, which is gently bobbing in the Pacific”
Very emotional about her 😭
The top of two smokestacks against a blue sky with wispy clouds. The smokestacks are beige metal, tapering to dark metal/iron encircled by a metal railing at the top, with two safety lights. At the rim of the 2nd smokestack are two Common Ravens, beak-to-beak.
Closer crop of the top of the second smokestack and the two ravens canoodling

I look forward to the Athena cam going live every year, and I just let it run 24/7, along with the WBU Barred Owl nest box cam - Owl TV!
I’m always astounded by their wingspan!
Please enjoy some soothing soaring-Osprey video 🪶✈️
The high-pitched Osprey call can be heard starting at about 21 seconds, if you’re into that sort of thing.

Nice! They certainly do not make it easy lol
An Osprey - a large mostly white raptor with dark brown splotches on the wings and head - in flight against gray cloud cover. The Osprey’s wings are extended out in a relaxed “M” shape, and tinged with amber sunlight

A European Starling - dark iridescent plumage with white “stars” and a yellow beak - perched in profile on a wire against a background of out-of-focus pink magnolia flowers and gray sky.

Singing the song of his people 🗣️🐦⬛🪶🌸

The fact that we're still doing it—for some explicitly bad reasons, and for some explicitly good reasons—is evidence that we can choose a better future if we put our shoulders into it. I'm holding on to that. And watching the Nutella jar spin around.
Yep. And while it’s not a replacement for sleep obviously, ADHD meds DO help mitigate exhaustion from lack there of. Also, when I finally started taking them, my depression symptoms lessened significantly. Turns out at least some of it was connected to my brain not functioning the way I needed it to
also Happy Lunar Flyby Day to all who observe 🚀🌕
Very impressed with my iPhone’s camera this morning tbh
