A colourful collage with a young brown haired woman with a bouffant and another smaller blonde woman drawn over in Andy Warhol screening style, with advertising slogans and a can of Libby’s creamed rice, these are against old floral wallpaper, surrounded by drawings of a starscape, leopard print and shapes that look like internal organs

Painting of a haunted looking white face in profile facing right, with a wide empty eye and open mouth against a background of loose black and red chalk and pencil marks on yellowing paper in the top right corner the word fear is written in block capitals

Fear created by Joan Wisdom c.1967 in the art therapy studio at Netherne hospital, where she was compelled to live.
Her work expressed her distress & critiqued the dehumanising psychiatric system which held power over her.

A colourful collage made of 1960s and 70s books, magazines, wallpaper and cigarette cards featuring two white female models in 60s style drawn over in a combination of Warhol-esque colours and psychedelic patterns of stars and shapes emerging from a blue cloud, behind them leopard pattern wallpaper with a drawing of a human heart with the text “the great lovers” in the centre, above them text which reads “a woman’s guilt” which is under a book illustration of white hands holding a piece of paper in the middle of performing a magic trick and a card with a butterfly on it intertwined with a sort of bowel like shape beside some heart patterned pink fabric

A 1970s cookery card featuring a photo of a deeply unappetising selection of undercooked looking meats and vegetables on a plate in front of a red striped cloth with willow pattern tureen and glass of red wine in the background. Above is the title of the dish New England boiled dinner

I am also in a permanent state of unsought Velma from Scooby Doo cosplay and I do not understand how it happens

Really think there’s some extra irresponsible casting this season, people who are either not okay themselves or okay for others to be around. Feels like some of the gloomiest, grimmest aughts tv at moments.
(And yet I will be seated for each and every episode to the bitter end)

You are welcome. It might come in handy for me again someday, if I need to give a Modern Studies lesson in the 1990s, or provide visuals for Hawkwind at the UFO club

Yes, it’s been properly overwhelming. I think that ending up having to feel bad for such a fiercely rancid human as her because the others are even worse is the absolute tin hat on it

Every episode leaves me itching with sad-rage so urgent I want to unzip my skin and feeling as though there is nothing good in this whole world, and yet I keep on watching and I will never stop going back for more

An absolute beauty!

In extremely unsurprising news, I’ve got one. You’d be welcome to have it but I don’t know how much it would cost to post it. Willing to find out though if you would like it?
