In Wisconsin, we believe in the power of redemption and forgiveness, and our pardons process has proven that people are capable of change and that second chances matter to the deserving few who want a chance at earning redemption.

Today, I am restoring the commutations process in Wisconsin.
The commutations process will allow us to build upon our work to build a safer, more just state by offering deserving folks a second chance at bettering their lives, including youth in our institutions.

"Gov. Evers Announces Agricultural Roads Improvement Program Supporting Projects in 56 Wisconsin Counties" with a map of Wisconsin with the 56 counties colored in.
ICYMI: We're excited to announce $50 million through our Agricultural Roads Improvement Program—funding I fought for and secured in our bipartisan state budget.
These 120 projects are improving rural roads in communities across our state to help our farmers and rural economies.
Targeting people because of their beliefs or background is wrong. This is clearly about sowing division and fear and doesn't help make Wisconsin safer.
I’m thinking of Mr. Sarsour's family in this difficult time, and I join Rep. Gwen Moore in calling for his immediate release.

Making sure working parents have care for their kids is a top priority for supporting our workforce. So, it was great to see the Green County YMCA's new child care center that can serve 86 local kids, which we were glad to support with a $3.7 million Workforce Innovation Grant.
I have always promised to veto any anti-LGBTQ legislation sent to my desk that hurts our LGBTQ kids and neighbors and makes them less safe.
Promises made, promises kept. 👍
"Save the Date Gov. Evers' special session to BAN rigged maps" with a calendar that reads "April 14"
We're about two weeks out from my special session to ban partisan gerrymandering in Wisconsin for good.
Now's the time to make your voice heard! Call your state leaders and urge them to support my special session call.

We’ve been hard at work to build a 21st-century workforce to support a 21st-century economy. We’re glad to continue that work with over $1.5 million in Fast Forward grants to help train over 700 Wisconsinites for in-demand jobs.

This is bullshit. And it’s illegal. We'll see President Trump in court.

Today, I celebrated Trans Day of Visibility surrounded by LGBTQ Wisconsinites as I kept my promise to veto several Republican bills targeting our trans and gender nonconforming kids.
Here in Wisconsin, we celebrate our trans and LGBTQ neighbors. 🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈

Ripped headline from Wisconsin Public Radio, "Iran war sets up another year of uncertainty for farms, high fertilizer, fuel prices may not have an immediate impact on farms. But experts say they will drive up costs, increase risk over the coming year."
Our farmers deserve better than continued uncertainty and chaos from their federal government.

NEWS: This morning, I joined labor leaders to sign a bipartisan bill to support our workers and ensure they get the coverage they deserve when they get injured on the job. Together, we’re working hard to build the brighter future that working folks and families deserve.

Gov. Evers shows students how he signs a bill
I had a great time being interviewed by Sergio, a 5th grader at Gompers Elementary, about job opportunities and how we can build a Wisconsin that works for everyone. And I had the chance to show students what it looks like to sign a bill!
Thanks for having me, Gompers!
What Donald Trump has spent on his war in just 3 weeks is what it would have cost to extend the Affordable Care Act tax credits for 1 year.
Folks, the climate crisis is here, and Wisconsinites are experiencing it firsthand—from snow droughts to historic floods.
Climate change is a threat to our way of life here in Wisconsin, and I'm committed to doing everything I can to fight it.

Gov. Evers hosts roundtable discussion with school leaders.
I visited with leaders from CESA 10 in Chippewa Falls to hear about how they plan to use a grant from our Wisconsin Office of Violence Prevention to implement trauma-informed violence interruption efforts and help keep our kids, schools, and communities safe.
Our farmers depend on the USDA and the services it provides. So, when President Trump cuts and guts its funding and fires 24,000 of its workers, that hurts our farmers.
Here in America's Dairyland, we will not turn our backs on our farmers.

This Women’s History Month we:
💜 signed "Gail's Law”
💜 expanded postpartum coverage for new moms

💜 celebrated amazing women in my office and cabinet
💜 hosted Women's History Month at the Residence
It was one for the books!
Graphic with a mom and baby that says "4 in 10 births are covered by Medicaid in Wisconsin"
In Wisconsin, BadgerCare covers about 40 percent of births. Thanks to our hard work, now, thousands of those moms and babies will have access to the postpartum care they need for one whole year after birth. It’s a big deal.
Our daughter Erin has delivered over 1,000 babies at Meriter Hospital, so it was great to have the chance to visit her at work and to hear about what expanding postpartum coverage from 60 days to a year means for moms and the care provided at Meriter.

Gov. Evers poses for a group photo with board members and staff of Your Move MKE in front of a mural.
Your Move MKE is doing amazing work to interrupt cycles of violence by giving kids the tools to stay out of trouble while taking care of their community. That's a win-win, and we're glad to be supporting them with a grant through our Wisconsin Office of Violence Prevention.
This week, we celebrated the anniversary of the ACA, but thanks to President Trump and Republicans, healthcare costs have skyrocketed for families like the Jaworskis.
This cannot continue. Republicans in Congress need to fix the crisis they created.

Ripped headline from Wisconsin Public Radio: "Gov. Tony Evers signs law extending postpartum medicaid coverage to 1 year, Wisconsin was just 1 of 2 states not to have extended such coverage to new moms"
For years, Wisconsin was just one of two states in the entire nation that hadn't extended postpartum coverage for new moms on Medicaid to one year.
Well, not anymore! See ya later, Arkansas! 👋
I spent time in Wausau last week listening to moms and women about the issues that matter to them.
Especially as the Trump Administration continues its attacks on women's health, voting rights, and livelihoods, supporting Wisconsin women couldn't be more important.
