For 50 quid I've got a fence which was one bad storm from blowing over back upright and feeling pretty steady. Hard work getting those spikes in the ground, but feel well solid

Got a wonky fence post. This works amazingly well, and comes with a drill bit to drill pilot holes and the attachment for a drill to drive in the screws

Booked a table in a restaurant in Bristol. When we arrive the waiter says "Gavin, is it? You look like quite an interesting guy from your linkedin profile"

I think a lot about this as well (not about cats though), but I think this is almost the biggest benefit of AI. The generation 'after' us have basically forced to have their life documented with phone photos/videos, held to hostage. Now we just have to stop believing that kind of documentation!

You know what, I don't actually think this is a real problem that we need to worry about. This is about 7 layers deep of nonsense, and each layer I care somewhat less about as a real problem.

Reintroducing student number redistribution is an easy fix that would actually stabilise the sector without even having to pump a load of money into it.

All unis are spending SO MUCH MONEY & RESOURCES on recruiting & advertising rather than teaching & research. Plug that leak. Stop that volatility.
