To all creatives, be on the look out for spam emails from people (definitely bots) representing 'Cosmic Games ULC'. I got like 3 spam emails from 3 different emails titled 'Don't Miss' with the span of a few hours. Block them & move on.
Here's how it may look being reached by someone from LILT AI as this was their email, which they sent twice in the span of a week. I didn't bother to click their 'COMPLETE QUESTIONNAIRE' link as that seemed sus a heck. Again, DON'T fall for it.
I was reached out a week later by the exact same person from LILT AI trying to get me to do GenAI Voice Over. I finally responded to them with the following. Be wary of anyone from LILT AI, especially someone surnamed 'Pilisova'. They & anyone from LILT AI aren't to be trusted.
I got an email from a company reaching out to me to train AI models for my Welsh dialect. If they bothered to see my socials, they'd know I do NOT consent to my voice being used for ANY GenAI purposes. If you see an email or a contact from LILT AI appear, avoid them, they are not to be trusted.

Some of us spent the day going to St Fagans (my first time ever going in my life) & the whole party later gave her some campaign themed gifts irl. There were some tears before & during the game. A big heart shaped hole will be missing in the party going forward.
Today was a sad day in one D&D campaign I am in, as one of our regular players had to leave the party since she's moving to a different country this week. I mean it's only to England from Wales but she won't be able to come to the sessions anymore due to distance & new career. 😭
I'll update people here when the procedure will happen since I will be out of action in terms of voice over stuff for a fair bit and it can set any work I am actively doing momentarily.
Some good news! NHS Wales called me recently asking for medical history for my upcoming septorhinoplasty procedure. While a date hasn't been given yet, the fact they rung me asking this stuff means it can't be too far away. I can't wait to get these issues with my nose sorted!
I just finished watching the Iron Lung film in the cinema. It was a solid watch, not as horror-y as I expected, which I appreciated since I’m not a horror person. Everyone who helped create/be part of it in any way should be proud of what they made.
As a 2D Animation University graduate, hearing the Adobe Flash/Animate discontinuing news is honestly evil work. So many livelihoods for people who rely solely on those platforms alone will be gone. If I was still animating & only relied on those platforms, I'd be devastated.
Some people just shouldn't be parents, sorry not sorry. If you cannot raise your kids well regardless of their medical diagnosis & cannot raise them well, you just shouldn't have set out on this path in the first place. My neighbours alone have resulted in me losing out on so much voice over work.
Maybe hot take? If you parent neurodivergent kids, you still need to parent said neurodivergent kids WELL. I live next door to parents who let their kids make the worst amounts of noise that come through right next to my work room. Shouting, screaming, singing, jumping on scooters INSIDE THE HOUSE-
Watch out for the ONE question where they try to trick you by putting "I want AI" as the bottom option where EVERY other question has "I don't want AI" at the bottom!
I would really caution anyone against implying that paywalling this feature is a legitimate response to public outcry. The paywall is an endorsement, not a restriction. Musk is saying "this thing you're all talking about is valuable. Pay me for it." The actual material effect is just monetization.
I'm not one for New Year's Resolutions usually, but for 2026, I'll try to focus on my overall health a little more, alongside trying to get myself out there in the voice over world a little more.
This post seems to point in what I had a gut feeling withs. Again I've never been the best with social media engagement so that'll have a hand to play for sure. But when I do post, my followers barely notice when I do post anything, so I feel this site's algorithm is just dog water in general.
I do want to say to those who do follow me, who see my stuff & who manage to see & stuff & interact with me here, you genuinely mean the world to me, you make everything being on this void of a website worth it. Maybe there'll be more of a reason to post here more regularly at some point. (10/10)

Posting here is screaming to a much bigger following of currently over 900+ followers, and even more since other from outside can still see who interact even more. Yet those who do follow rarely ever interact with me. It feels lonelier with an even bigger following than anywhere else I am at. (7/10)
I just want to post about something I do on occasion, get the occasional affirmation like, 'Hey Rhys, the world sees you existing, keep doing your thing!' Now sadly on most social media sites, my social interactions has always been lacking, but on here it hits different. (6/10)

If you use GMail, AI (Gemini) was turned on yesterday by default and now scans all of your content for machine learning. To turn off, go to Settings>General and scroll down. Uncheck the box for "Smart features."
There's other "Smart" add-ons as well, but that's the one that reads your content.
