Yeah, they are saying that it was the first flight of the shuttle and it had people on it. Whereas no other spacecraft on its first flight had people on— first flights are usually automated.

Nobody would watch it nor laugh that's why. Culture moves on.

I totally get that! It's been overshadowed by the Iran situation. Being disinterested is fine.

This mission and the one before have actually been all NASA. SpaceX/Blue Origin only come in with the landings. But NASA have definitely done much of the work themselves.

What I've discovered during the Artemis mission is that some people will respond vociferously to let you know that they don't care about it even when it is only mentioned in passing. It seems to be quite divisive in a strange way.

Wow! Yeah actually I just realised they stopped showing the telemetry on the NASA feed a while ago. I never looked up another way to check it.

I've been watching these Artemis astronauts every day for 10 days… I'm extremely invested in their safe journey through the upper atmosphere by now. 🤞

Absolutely incredible the speed at which their speed is increasing and at which they will finally approach the Earth.
