That sounds like a much bigger blackberry patch than what I have. The one that popped up in the yard here is fairly small, and unfortunately the roofers severed half the vines but I still have a little starting to ripen and I'm grateful for it

Moonpie followed me into the garden, chose a mound of dirt, and decided that was her "supervisory" position.
She loves to roll in the dirt (like a dog) so it was not easy to get her out of there.

Due to my own repeated 1st hand experiences (from childhood to now) I was 0% surprised at the numbers. Ppl wonder why I don't go out, isolate & allow only a few to even know where I live now. I've been mostly offline since Jan 2025 (on less & less w/ each passing month). It's just all too much

I do. I honestly just haven't been on social media as much, over the past year or so. Day to day analogue life has me swamped since my move (feb 2025), and this is my busiest time of year as an herbalist (& a gardener). That's only part of it though.

Well if you have the space, that means, and a time, it might be a good idea to plant a little extra this year

My thinking of my dear friend @johnpaulhi.bsky.social and others in #Hawaii . This ongoing storm system has just wreaked havoc in so many, including all of the farms there.
I don't mean to sound like a broken record, but please PLANT YOUR GARDENS!!

I've been offline a LOT & focused on what I can control & create: Garden & home prep., my animals, creating a supportive network within my immediate neighborhood, making medicinals, & helping friends do the same.
