A HackerNews comment saying: My personal page runs on 11ty since the last 3 years and I enjoyed it a lot. I'll probably replace it with pure HTML soon - I found that I don't need a SSG anymore, I can just use a local LLM to generate HTML out of markdown files and I never use any fancy features anyway.

A probabilistic file converter that gets loaded into VRAM, uses a ton of your GPU, and has a potential to miss one of the tags that break HTML in ways not immediately obvious - for every single new deployment. Never thought about using llama.cpp in my CI/CD before for sure lol.

GitHub uptime chart being colorful

GitHub uptime chart being colorful

Sure, my servers don't serve as many users but I also don't have MS resources. I'd imagine they don't spend relatively a ton of money on sales and PR and that sort of stuff at GitHub, so where is the money going to? I bet Big Azure is behind all this.

Google rolled out e2ee for Gmail Workspace/Enterprise in the mobile apps. I did get my hopes up that it would be PGP with WKD publishing and that the world is healing but then I remembered that I'm delusional for even thinking that.

Seems like it's just compliance slop, though.

Device Bound Session Credentials flow (src google)

Device Bound Session Credentials flow (src google)

Chrome released an update that binds session tokens/cookies to TPM to stop infostealers from doing their thing.

It's an open standard, so I wonder when we'll get this for Firefox too. I also wonder what the catch will be..

This thing found multiple vulns (crashing a machine and RCE) in OpenBSD lol. This is not fun anymore. I'm gonna go and start a farm (if the AI overlords allow me to even keep that land).

Anthropic Mythos model can find and exploit 0-days : Hasn't released it to the public, because it would break the internet - in a bad way

This new Claude Mythos is nightmare fuel. Why can't we just chill for some time? I feel like if we brought a medieval peasant to modern day, they would die from the amount of new information about everything and all of it every day.

uhm akschually ๐Ÿค“, apart from the correction on who pays the tariff and who rejects the orders, US will still need to import because of comparative (or even absolute) advantage foreign countries have or try to substitute their imports with their own costlier products. 1st being more likely +inflation
