Excellent news! That’s what friends are for.
I’d love an adaptation. So if any streaming or movie producers feel like getting in touch…

Completely forgot that as of last week I’ve been a published author for 14 years. It’s nice to see that people are still picking up Crimes Against Magic.
Orbital Drop – Chapter 1
Orbital Drop is my newest Sci-fi book. It's set in the same universe as Blackcoat and Atoned, and takes place between the two. It's out on the 24th April, and in anticipation, I'd like to share the first chapter. Chapter One The vast majority of the spaceports on the moon…
Yes. Yes they are.
Amazing review of A Murder of Crows:
“Fantastic. I loved all 5 books.”
1 star.
When I wrote Horsemen’s War and had the President of America be an evil monster who ate people, I got reviews from people mad that I’d dare portray the President in such a light.
I’d say I was too kind.
Cover reveal for Orbital Drop. Now up for preorder.
Life is too short to spend it arguing with obtuse morons on the internet. Go outside and touch grass or something.
It is. It’s set between Blackcoat and Atoned, but it’s completely self contained as a story.
Thanks very much.
This is Spinal Tap is on, and as law dictates, I must watch it. Again.
Still don’t care about Harry Potter. And seeing how I care about my trans friends and family members, I never will.
Not when I’m walking, but when I’m writing, I tend to listen to music that suits the story.
It’s a good way to clear your head.
Always a lovely feeling to get edits for a book done. I’m going to have a long weekend of no work now*
*or try to, depending on whether or not my brain lets me.
There are few things that fire my imagination like going out for a walk while listening to music. If I’m ever stuck on a bit of story, it always helps.
Moron picks a fight with Alan Ritchson (Reacher), gets his ass beat, cries to the media, before video comes out showing he stared it. Violence is never the answer, but sometimes those who fuck around need to find out.
One day I won’t have a single email from scammers asking to “review” my books, or add it to a book club. But today is not that day.
Cross season 2 was all over the place story wise. Plots that didn’t really need to be in the season, and a disappointing end episode, complete with some serious shark jumping, made the whole thing pretty silly. Matthew Lillard was brilliant though.
Watched Wanted: Dead or Alive for the first time this millennia. A 1987 film with Rutger Hauer as an ex-cia bounty hunter. It has Gene Simmons as a middle-eastern terrorist.
It’s aged terribly, but Rutger Hauer is always great, and in this he acts circles around everyone else. Weirdly watchable.
I saw someone say that you should listen to audiobooks on 1X speed because that’s how the performance was meant to be listened to. I tried and nope. It’s too slow. 1.75x feels right.
It seems that a lot of people don’t actually know what a prologue is meant to do.
It’s meant to tease the story, the characters, it’s meant to be an important part of the story, it’s not meant to be an info dump.
Orbital Drop
My new book Orbital Drop is now up for pre-order on kindle for whatever amazon you use. It will also be available in Paperback for the 24th April release date. Here's a little bit about it. As a member of the Wardens, Celine Moro is tasked with protecting the Union Empire from those…
here's the art to ORBITAL DROP by @stevemchugh.bsky.social without the titles. I loved working on this cover
The editing process is my favourite bit of writing a book. Right up until my editor asks a question that makes me stare at the screen because I hadn’t considered something that makes my brain hurt.

Your opinion on tagging authors in negative reviews is a litmus test as to whether or not you suck as a person.
Snake would 100% be onboard with that idea.
