I want to share this with him so much bsky.app/profile/gari...
This was wild
Oh gosh. It's going to happen for a while isn't it? Much love to you too
Living on my own, the Flamethrower was my lifeline during lockdown. The moments I'll really miss him are when I come across nonsense I immediately want to share with him and reflexively go to do so, before the reality hits again. And most of it will be nonsense most others won't find as amusing.
Merry Christmas to everyone even tethered plastic cap makers
jane goodall releasing a video of her listing the people she dislikes and ending with a vague message of hope is so iconic. truly someone i aspire to model myself after
This happened to me, and 6 months later I was diagnosed with ADHD. Thought I was going deaf but audiologist said my hearing was perfect. You would think in that scenario an audiologist should be suggesting you consider being tested for possible neurodivergence.
Thanks for sharing this because I feel this too - and wonder if the meds are doing anything, but at least doing basic tasks don't feel like swimming through tar anymore
At a broader level this should also apply to disability accommodations, however I've recently experienced the latter with support options not really being fit for purpose. Many organisations unfortunately only offer the bare minimum to meet obligations.
For some people the Loop might be ok, but I've read quite a lot of people online who didn't like them for the same reason as me, so I guess it's just something to be aware of if you think that would be an issue for you
It was the OG however the difference between Loop and Flare is that the Loop fills your ear canal like a regular ear plug so when you talk it feels like you are taking under water, but Flare is a tube that makes your canal narrower so you can still hear yourself talk normally.
I tried the engage and found they blocked the sound of my own voice too much and made talking with them in awkward and uncomfortable. I find Flare Calmer better for reducing some noise but not completely blocking the ear canals so talking feels quite natural.
Remember that your inner monologue is just your brain doing a podcast.
Great, thank you!
and to add, I don't mind paying for a premium version if it works well
If you don't mind me asking, which do you think is the best password manager? I use a combo of Android phone and Mac laptop. Have been using Keeper for while but its driving me insane and would really a solution that doesn't have me swearing at my phone whenever I need to login to something
What if instead of “neurodivergence is a superpower” we try “ND coping mechanisms can be powerful and even teachable skillsets”?
Thought I was alone in the office one night so naturally decided to rap the whole of Turn the Page by The Streets at full volume. Only on leaving for the day did I realise a new intern was sat hidden behind a pillar and heard everything. Haven't even looked at each other since
I don't think The Traitors can really be taken serious as a meritocratic game show, but the Seer thing really was a number wang.
I only learned of Putricia's existence an hour ago, and now I can't look away

Being AuDHD is being simultaneously both Mark and Jeremy from Peep Show.

Text from a news article saying ""It comes after a friend said Wallace had "no filter" and claimed he may have autism himself. Wallace has never been tested for autism due to a feeling of responsibility that he passed it down to his son, the close therapist friend said. They said they believed it may have contributed towards his alleged inappropriateness on set."
People need to stop using being autistic as an excuse for being an arsehole. It just embeds misleading stereotypes.
Yes, being autistic can mean you find social interactions difficult, I know I can.
It doesn't mean you default to walking around with a sock on your c**k.

You think you know someone....
Well I guess it was probably the beginnings of a new relationship - one with the plumber
