Alright #booksky📚💙 another one.
She was cute, a little slow on the beginning but deffo held my interest as I read 100 or so pages at a time.
I love a book about an oppressed daughter rebelling 🙂‍↕️

I realllllyyyyy wish there was more information and discussion about how autism is different from the co-occurring conditions that can come with it, because a lot of people confuse behaviours their child is doing with autistic traits when they aren’t, they’re symptoms of the learning disabilities

Like a lot of autism parents don’t actually take the time to learn specifically what autism is, especially when their kids have co-occurring conditions. They think that is autism when it’s actually just the way your brain works. If they saw it that way they’d see it in themself

It’s one YouTuber I watch that I spotted it when she told us she was afraid of the car wash and gets her husband to take the car and now I can’t unsee it at all.
I think she can’t see it because her daughter has co-occurring learning disabilities so her perception of autism is skewed

How can I introduce more potassium? I had a look and saw banana peels but that seems like more of an outside method. I really want this one to thrive, even if it has to live inside half the year

I had 10, sadly squirrels ate 9 of them so I brought this one inside to save it. I might add some more next time I get some mangoes.
That’s interesting, it may well be a part of the cycle, I’ve only ever seen big mango trees!
Thank you

Mine lives inside atm because I live in the UK and it’s too cold, plus squirrels kept digging the seeds up! I had 10

Does anyone know why my mango tree insists on doing this to its leaves, even though it clearly has no intention of dying? #plantsky

Todays read. I enjoyed this greatly and it was very thought provoking regarding the pile ons that occur online. How we see a snippet of a video and make endless tweets in regard to it, drawing these grand judgements. Really enjoy this author #booksky📚💙

I play pretend myself all the time and have a very active imagination but when we play, for example, shop, I want to pretend to do things actually like a shop would.
We played rocket tonight and I’ll be struggling to get past him not wanting to wear a helmet outside because he’d suffocate and die

#actuallyautistic just me who struggles with playing pretend with kids? I struggled with it as a kid too so I know it’s not just age.
I can play pretend but find myself getting first after they’re playing ‘wrong’

I read this one yesterday and I also really enjoyed it. It felt a little disjointed like collections of stories do to me, but it also felt very comforting reading stories about Jamaica and Jamaicans.
Despite it not being my upbringing it felt… familiar.
Anyone read this?

It’s really been slowing me down this month that I got 2 heavy books which I have to return to the library soon. I read a little holiday romance and flew through nearly 400 pages yesterday

Hi #booksky📚💙 #blackbooksky
Decided to take break from all the heavy books I’ve been reading and read a little Christmas holiday romance and whew. I read the whole book yesterday.
It was soooo good, just the right level of cute, if not a little predictable
