Did that person have any actual chance of preventing Trump from winning?

Shit, we have Fetterman. I effectively do not have a senator

Thank God im not in Maine, though, because having to vote for Platner would test my soul.

I refuse to apologize for liking a nice, old fashioned, lamp

I love that Best of Enemies doc of the Buckley/Vidal debates

I assume you dont mean musically/artistically, because each record is better than the last, and their very first record was already very good. But, yes, the back story to Blue Rev, just took a lot of time, people left the band, on top of Covid, etc. Hope the next one doesn't take as long

I love this band

Thank God i'm not in Maine. I'm almost at the point where I think, let 'em have Collins; we'll have to get the majority somewhere else. It's really grotesque.

That's not what this is about, and the fact that that's your take away, make me question your analytical skills.

Then stop complaining to me, and camp out at their offices until your demands are met. But there 340 million Americans, each with their own demands, so, I hope the party will listen to you, specifically.

Because, the Dems don't always get it right from my perspective, but they aren't fascists and the other side is. So, when the fascists are locked out of power, maybe we can quibble over some of the details, but until then, my vote is for the not fascists, reliably so.

You don't actually mean anything, because, they never get credit when they do the things you say you want. Just constant goal post moving. Also, political parties go where the reliable votes are, if you tell them up front, that you cant be counted upon, they won't spend much time on you.

Ok, well, then dont vote for Dems, and see how far that gets you.

And that has been for a long time, and yet, people still vote GOP. Maybe its more than just issues.

4 days ago 0 0 1 0

Except they dont do that. They just dont; what they do, is try to govern for as many people as possible, in good faith, and that requires understanding that not everyone is a progressive.

4 days ago 0 0 2 0

I did not say that; what im saying is, if you do not vote for Dems; the GOP wins. Its a simple calculation. If you can live with that, then, godspeed.

4 days ago 0 0 1 0

So, tell me about the GOP, then? Because, again, general elections are a binary, and they always have been, I would assume in both of our lifetimes. If you're saying there's a chance the GOP candidate is better, then, you have a point. If not, then, no, you're not making a very good point.

If you get invested in the Sixers, they will break your heart just as thoroughly.
