Meridee Ritzer is a sophomore National Scholar majoring in chemistry with minors in geology and nuclear engineering. Her Clemson faculty mentors include William Pennington, an alumni distinguished professor of Chemistry and special assistant to the Dean;
Andrew “Drew” Hodges is a junior majoring in physics with a minor in nuclear engineering and radiological science. His faculty mentors include Stephen Kaeppler, Associate Professor of Physics and Astronomy, and Timothy DeVol, Toshiba Professor of Nuclear Engineering.

We are honored to have hosted Dr. Bryan Brooks and Dr. Maggie Mills as part of their visit to Clemson University on March 25 for the American Chemical Society (ACS) & Environmental Science & Technology (ES&T) Journal Visit.
Her research focuses on “The Aggregation of Microplastics by Enhancing Extracellular Polymeric Substance Growth in Pseudoalteromonas sp. NCIMB 2021 to Improve Removal Efficiencies in Environmental Matrices”. Janelle's advisor is Dr. Kevin Finneran. Go Tigers!
