Sevvy and Kikuchi, two league average guys just signed for 22M AAV. Holmes's contract is only 12.6M AAV. If he produces close to his era+ of 113 at 162 IP, the deal would be incredible. Cohen showed willingness to eat Scherzer and Verlander's contract, so there isn't much risk.

Based on our off-season moves I doubt we will add another SP. So I would say Alonso, Winker, Candelita. I would trade Baty at this point. I feel like he's the worst out of him Acuña, and Mauricio.

Well I think that's misleading since Kikuchi's prime years were spent in the NPB. Despite that, he only has 9 less career rWar. I didn't want either for the Mets. I wanted Manaea who also has a worse projection than Kikuchi. Metrics aren't everything to me. Just found it surpriaing that Sevy got 60M

I also thought the QA was overpriced. The length is also surprising for the AAV. It's insane to me that he got more money than Kikuchi who has way better projections.

The Severino deal makes no sense to me. But I guess league average starting pitching is expensive

I hate to say it but Blake Snell is perfect for the Dodgers. He won't have to pitch more than 5 innings a game with their bullpen.

I understand this sentiment. I want to keep Pete, even though I know it makes no sense. Pete's fangraph projection is 2.7, while the aggregate of Baty, Mauricio and Acuña is more... And Mark alone is above 3. It's hard for me to see Pete back.

I'm tired of seeing thank you Daniel Jones posts when he was easily the worst Giants QB I've seen (including backups) and was over-drafted by 2 rounds because of a loose connection to Eli Manning. I will never feel bad for mediocrity that fails upwards.

Jose Siri is a great upgrade from Bader. He's slightly better at fielding and running, about the same at hitting. Only problem is we really screwed that Orze kid out of a fair shake in the big leagues. He could have a lot of value as a league average starter in the future.
