A competent govt would consider announcing that it's nearly time to move to phase 3 given Kuwait's FM
Unless given that we were the latest country to form a FTA with Kuwait we could somehow persuade them to favour us... big question of course is how to do this... Todd McClay?

oops I forgot to say similarity to the Fuel response plan

next step govt to run an exercise

footnote did this b4 I retired

On that
Having had a lot to do with energy and proactively implementing the Natural Gas Critical Contingency Plan in our heavy industry in terms of exercise participation I can't help but notice the similarity in terms of curtailment bands which work v well so maybe I should give them more credit...

Depends on how tight they think they are diplomatically with Kuwait ... maybe as we are the most recent country to sign a FTA with the GCC they're hoping on that... but yeah who knows what they're thinking we'll never get a straight word out of Luxon

14 hours ago 0 0 1 0

But, but... will they be looking to Todd McClay to come to the rescue given he got them the FTA?
Guess there's no sleep in the beehive tonight ...

Reminds me of the time when trying to push mgmt in a big business I worked in to decide on a technical proposal for a very critical piece of air pollution control equipment we needed and they wanted to decide via rhetoric instead of facts and data I had done untold work to provide.. it blew my mind

A key solution to climate change isn't happening – and that's good Removing CO2 from the atmosphere by capturing the carbon from burning biomass is supposed to save the planet, but it looks like the flagship project will never happen

Somehow a nonexistent technology became the 'official' solution to global warming. It's good it's not happening because it would be ridiculously expensive and catastrophic for biodiversity. Oh, and it wouldn’t even work either

How come they keep spelling “open” wrong?

Does that street look closed to you? Only if you’re a car… and presumably that’s the real problem. #UrbanTruth

Humans are not part of shark diet and sharks do not hunt humans
Most shark bites are cases of mistaken identity—where swimmers or surfers resemble seals or fish
Yet Hollywood has never made one movie telling the true nature of sharks
Spielberg made millions for portraying sharks as monsters
