Also, he’s getting married at his parent’s house in a Mississippi town where the average income is $120k, and if you check out the address of said house, you get an aerial shot of a mansion. Which: Good for them! But it’s not surprising that American aristocrats would mock a No Kings rally

Nobody told him to stop, and he didn't stop. He was calling them "weird" right up to Election Day.

I honestly think the leftist "NO KINGS IS SO CRINGE" posts is because they're seeing Liberals/Democrats/Winemoms organize massive protests and realize it wasn't that the people didn't want to protest, it was that their causes suck

What?! What do you think is the point?

The marches had no shortage of skeptics.
In Oxford, Miss,, Cass Rutledge, a first-year law student at the University of Mississippi, walked through the No Kings protest and around the town square on Saturday and questioned why people thought Mr. Trump was acting like a king.
"He is, you know, a duly elected president who won the popular vote and the electoral college in a landslide," Mr. Rutledge said.
"And so I'm a little bit confused on how he's acting differently than any other president."
He pointed to the stalemate in Congress over the SAVE America Act, the Republican-driven bill to tighten voter identification and registration rules, which Democrats have called an attempt to suppress turnout based on false claims of voting fraud. Mr. Rutledge said that Mr.
Trump was "going through the process" to try to get the legislation passed.

The NYT says today’s #NoKings protests had “no shortage of skeptics,” and then quoted exactly one of those skeptics: The chairman of the Ole Miss College Republicans (as of 2025.)

But of course, the Times doesn’t ID him as such. He’s just a Concerned Youth.

It's honestly incredibly funny that the "squishy libs" can comfortably hit a target that the militia movement named themselves after but never managed themselves

A woman said something to me at the protest that I've been thinking about all day.

She works at a hospice organization and mentioned that pediatric patients have been skipping palliative care appointments because they're afraid of ICE.

We must win so the assholes responsible for this face justice.

The reason I know he's going to do this is because it involves deciding to ruin the lives of brave professionals in order to boost his personal fortunes.

Probably a 10-second decision, most of it involving how to source the "ground invasion 2026" commemorative ballcaps.

That's bullshit. If they're so godawful, their constituents musts be hungry for an alternative, right? Or maybe you're just full of shit.

Something that really bugs me not just about Platner, but a lot of "progressives", is when they say they're going to "fight" they DON'T mean they're going to fight Trump or Republicans or fascism in general. They mean they'll fight against Democrats/liberals.

That's loser bullshit. You're not helping.

Nope. Anarchists are never right. Anarchy is the absence of any law, institution or authority. Anarchy is chaos.

With all that they've accomplished from the minority, like an unprecedented number of successful discharge petitions, and you're still bitching about Jeffries? Idiot.

@margaret.bsky.social introduced me to the idea of “radical sincerity” in her podcast. Stop trying to fight them with irony. Let go of your detachment and fight them with your whole, honest self.

Bad immigration economics assumes every extra person is one less seat. Good economics notices they also bring a seat, a side dish, and demand for the bloke selling drinks.

The first story is fear; the second is how economies work.
