Went to Dishoom for the first time on Saturday, unreal experience. Already looking for the next excuse to go back

What a flex!
Now I’d like this to appear anecdotally in an article discussing the rising popularity of cask ale in the UK 🤣
What was on offer that caused so many pints to be poured?
I also think it has the potential to strengthens the campaign Reform UK are running that they speak for “the silent majority” which would be “getting censored” if Labour do get involved.
Not that I necessarily disagree, but do you not think that any UK government interfering with any form of media regulation body in any capacity is easy fodder for any opposition party to start pushing the message of state-controlled media?
I feel like his response, while weak, is a measured one.
Love this, happy new year! 🥳
Failed Whamageddon in delirum cafe of all places. Gutted, send me to whamhalla.
The new site/redesign looks great. The logo was controversial, but it's fresh, modern and well-needed. It's still relatively new, but I hope that it helps. Having tried to get friends to sign up, CAMRA just doesn't seem interesting enough to others my age, even if they do enjoy real ale.
Furthermore, I think having something like Beer Engine is 100% the right direction for CAMRA to be going in. I love having something in place to allow volunteers to contribute, it shouldn't be locked behind the knowledge of running a site.
I'd figured something like this was in place as there's standardised look across the sites. My post wasn't to punch down at local branches, more so to bring up the importance of keeping services like this fresh. There are so many others my age who wouldn't look twice at some of these pages. Shame.
Spent the last fifteen minutes or so searching random place names followed by CAMRA just so I can see region/district websites. They’re absolutely horrid, so outdated and clearly just left to ruin. If you want young people to sign up to CAMRA, don’t have your website look like a forum from 2003.
My Christmas present to myself this year is a pair of Garstangs, went to their store in Manchester the other month and I’m totally sold.
This last weekend I spent in Sheffield for the Abbeydale Road Beer Festival. My lord I wish I remembered more of it. Getting the print home in one piece was harder than I first thought.
Those who still work behind the bar, what are your thoughts on patrons who will order their pint and linger for a bit of small talk?
I’ll admit I’m a serial offender, (mind you I’m cautious of other customers) but I do think that without this it just feels too.. transactional?
A half-drunk pint of beer next to a sausage roll with a piece taken out.
Following the namesake of this beer “Go on then” and treating myself to a sausage roll. Positively sweltering but the staff are class and the drinks going down nicely!
A pint of Thornbridge Jaipur at Wetherspoons.
A £2.29 pint of Jaipur at Spoons before my journey back to Sheffield. A few pubs that I’ve got too long without (looking at you Rutty and Shakey’s) and of course Sheffield Wine Week in Bole Hill. Cannot wait!
Where can I buy one? Sounds lovely.
Manners cost nothing! Doesn’t hurt to say “May I” either…
No matter what you prefer to drink in the pub, you should be angry at Carlsberg's attempts to dupe all of us.
If you spot this on the bar, please report it here to support CAMRA's complaint to Trading Standards:

Have never got my headphones out in work quicker to listen to this!
That looks unreal!
I think this may be one of the nicest pieces of glassware I’ve ever seen.
it has to be golden brown by the stranglers by a million miles
Give my amber lager an oscar.
It’s not a common thought for a 21-year-old but I’m dying to get a hold of some Foxwhelp. I want to get either apples or juice now so I can age it whilst I grow old. Who knows where cider will be in 20+ years.
When in Rome? When in Sheffield. Of course I’m in the old shoe today, have a few beers but but Elusive Brewing’s American Red stood out. No photos, but I do love coming back here.
Also yes, that is a bag of scampi fries in the back. I’m only human!
Yeah it sucks but that’s just the way the cookie crumbles sometimes. It wouldn’t be so bad if public transport was a bit more reliable 😂
A picture of a paddle of three drinks, from left to right they are (1) Irish Stout - Abbeydale (2) Hinterland - Abbeydale (3) Two in Tow - Ideal Day.
Chilling out at the Wonky Labrador this afternoon/evening. Hidden gem in Sheffield, cosy little craft beer micro bar - I import you to visit! Mac and his team always make you feel so welcome it’s a cracking place.
And they do a doggy paddle!
I’m paying £80 a week at the moment as my instructor only does double lessons. Never be so glad to have my test.
Ah mate I fear you’re missing out! I’ve convinced myself that they’re one of the few restaurants that are still A+ value for money currently.
