The Mayor's proposed FY2027 budget is public ... as a stack of PDFs most people don't want to search through, cross-reference, or analyze. This annoyed me last year, so this year I prepped something that is easier to go through.

I aspire to have the confidence (and job security) of whichever team is responsible for managing activity state at @slack.engineering . Having to reload the app just to get rid of an unread badge is bonkers.

It feels like I avoided needing to overenunciate my answer to "Where do you work?"

$750k for shade pavilions at DPR facilities. One piece of feedback I've received from neighbors has been that Edgewood Rec's splash pad is great, but parents and caregivers are baking while exposed to the direct sun. @cmzparker5.bsky.social also elevated this request from the community.

I may be overindexing on my current experience updating my basalt and chalk layouts for emery and gabbro. My app wasn't as concerned about reflow as much as it was positioning relative to edges and other elements. I had to rewrite things to do relative positioning using the unobstructed bounds.

Hell yeah, so happy to see this return.

The auto-recompile would be nice, but that also depends on an app being compatible with new platforms. If there's a new screen size that breaks layout, for example, it could reflect poorly on the app dev.
