oh interesting so one of the big reasons they don’t want kids to transition as minors is that they assume post puberty it’s harder to transition so then they’ll just give up and be their natal sex, lol lmao , no it just becomes more expensive and there’s more to reverse

am _still_ in the process of figuring myself out.
I would rather be my whole self facing the horrors, than hiding anymore. from myself or the horrors.

is there any way to fast forward through this next part where we watch all the centrists and people with weird empathy blind spots figure out in real time that the angriest, most annoying leftists they knew were right about everything before this even started or have we just got to go through it...

Not enough Americans equate 100 years of Jim Crow Laws with fascism and that bothers me. Utilizing imagery of Anne Frank and the gestapo instead of lynchings, forced sterilizations (the Mississippi Appendectomies), internment camps, and sun down towns adds an unnecessary layer of distance. It incorrectly asserts that fascism is this foreign thing that the US has never known, much less allowed.
That could not be farther from the truth.

the angle from the lady in the pink coat is out and it is worse and you don’t need to make yourself watch it but it makes it absolutely stone cold clear that this was a summary execution for no reason

The newest video shows very clearly that they attacked him for coming to an aid of a woman that the agents pushed, and then executed him while he was immobilized. Everything the government has said, like with Good, has been a complete lie.

Anyone with an ounce of awareness & basic understanding of US history knew this was coming. It's such a perfect storm & predictable culmination of a diseased society eventually eating itself with gluttonous disregard for anyone but the self. This formula for a society is forever doomed. Greed kills.

A photograph of the seminary gym in knives out. It has the same window.
Just watched the new Knives Out and I think it's really important you know that the scene in the Seminary's Gym is filmed in the same place Rick Astley filmed the music video for Never Gonna Give You Up.
I saw the window tracery and immediately made my friends pause the film so I could tell them.

A large (maybe 3 feet wide by 5 feet tall) sign on the end of a row of bookshelves that tells the “address” of books that have sensitive content.
Sometimes I think it’s going to be the librarians who will save us all.

I'm so goddamn tired of saying this but: this is it.
All the worrying that trans folks have had since he took office? This is why. This is the first step on a short road that ends with the criminalization of trans existence in the US. It isn't doomsaying. It isn't panic. It's right in front of us.

So now I print all the forms again, sign 3 copies of everything, write another check for $500 and start over.
So fucking livid right now.

Well, after a year of going back and forth with the California court system, they’ve dismissed my kid’s name change.
I followed all their fiddly fucking diy instructions on the website, pieced together the cryptic ‘do this over’ returns, and they fucked off with my money.
