Cypriot police say Sandy was employed by "various companies" between 2001 and 2023 which makes less likely that she had travelled abroad.
Now, if they really wanted to get a confirmation about her journeys, they should have asked German authorities.
This is what MLATs are for.

The account in question was deleted about a week ago.
Contrary to what Cyprus's police are saying, Sandy indeed left the island in March 2021 to find refuge at a women's shelter in Germany.
Curiously, about a week ago, one of her 3 Signal accounts she was using when I shared a list of shelters, was deleted.

A friend in Cyprus told me earlier today that the silence of women's rights groups on the island following recent reports about Sandy's alleged rape when she was 13, remains deafening.
But it's not surprising. The government controls civil society with grants conditional to benevolent behaviour.
The only purpose served by the killing of journalists in conflict zones I can think of is the elimination of evidence of war crimes.
If Cypriot authorities investigated crime with the same zeal they cover it up, crime in Cyprus would be the lowest in the world.
Cypriot lawyer Nicos Clerides's electronic devices seized by police contained sensitive client communications, including the case of a mother accusing the government of covering up her son's murder in 2005 while he was serving in the army.

I explain how I got to know "Sandy", how Sandy left Cyprus to seek refuge in a women's shelter in Germany as she felt threatened at the time.
She repeatedly sought to report her case to police. Her complaints were ignored.
She ultimately returned to Cyprus, most likely under durress.
Journalism is about uncovering conspiracies and cover-ups not conspiring to commit felonies.
In my today's account of the related "Sandy" case (the rape of a 13yo by a former judge) published on the website of Greece's Documento.

There I confirm that I was talking to the lawyer.
This was part of my job which is called "journalism".
The search warrant presented by the police was on the suspicion of "conspiracy to commit a felony".
The underlying crime was "spread of fake news", a controversial legislation in Cyprus enacted in recent years.
The search follows a brisant report by Cypriot investigative journalist and author Makarios Drousiotis about a group that included lawyers, bankers, politicians, and judges, who pulled off a scheme to profit from distressed loans following Cyprus's 2013 banking crisis.
I have been advised that during the search at lawyer Nicos Clerides's home and office, the police was searching electronic devices with keywords mostly related to controversial financial and political scandals in Cyprus.
Another keyword they used was my name.

Orban may be flushed down the drain of history but his xenophobic, authoritiarian legacy will most likely persist.
He meant 90 days on Venus.
On one case, when the judge's alleged victim walked to a police station to report her case, a police officer told her (I am paraphrasing) to "take advantage of the situation to make and save money so that she can have later a happy marriage with someone else".
Throughout her ordeal, she repeatedly attempted to report her case to Cyprus's autorities which are notoriously sympathetic to rapists. See case of 19yo British tourist who reported her rape in 2019 by seven Israeli men found herself convicted.

These stab wounds on her arms were caused in the summer of 2020.
It's very likely that the victim has been intimidated and/or is blackmailed.
In her recorded interviews she told me of the abuse she endured for more than 26 years which apart from sexual violence included also stab wounds and beatings.
Her account published by Drousiotis howerver matches that she gave me in interviews and in writing around 5 years ago.
According to reports based on leaks from the police, the alleged victim has denied journalist Drousiotis's account.
The raid follows also a deposition given by Clerides to police. It appears to be part of an orchestrated campaign in Cypriot media, directly or indirectly all controlled by the government and its institutions, in an attempt to dispute evidence provided.

According to sources, the warrant was issued on the grounds that lawyer Clerides and journalist Drousiotis had participated in the "dissemination of fake news", a controversial law that provides an up to 2 years prison sentence.

The alleged victim was raped when she was 13 by a meanwhile retired Supreme Court judge.
Drousiotis also implicated the former judge, politicians and officials in corruption concerning the management of distressed loans following the 2013 banking crisis.

BREAKING: On Saturday morning, Cyprus's police raided the residence & is currently heading to the office of lawyer Nicos Clerides with a search warrant.
The search is following a brisant report published by investigative journalist Makarios Drousiotis about a child rape case from the 90s.
I wanna point out something serious. The admin has been complaining about Iran winning the information war.
This same administration shut down Voice of America, and other information operations the US govt does.
It’s a self goal. Actions have consequences
Is the failure of investigating the murder of this journalist the result of incompetence or reluctance or even a combination of both? If I had to place a bet, I would not rule out a cover-up.
It makes perfect sense.
