Cheers Dominic, I have taken a screenshot so I have the number, so feel free to delete your message if you like in case Marc doesn’t want his number posted 👍🏻

I played it loads at the time so it was good to revisit it. Still sounds good to my ears.

Evening Rich,

Probably the last period of music I liked before a lull and your original lockdown polls revived me! That feels just as long ago now!

Anyway, I’ll go with:

1. The Hours - Narcissus Road (5pts)
2. Glasvegas - ST
3. Vampire Weekend - ST
4. Grindermen - ST
5. Fleet Foxes - ST (1pt)

I agree. It’s that bad.

Seriously too close for comfort now. He has to go tonight but I have no idea who we get in until the end of the season.

Yes, they were good friends of his from memory.

Not eligible as it’s an EP and the debut album came in 2010, but highly recommended all the same.

Yes, same here. That would have been a real headache if we were

Yes, it’s not one of my go to Dylan albums but it’s still a very strong debut and I enjoyed listening to it. I found this round really hard. So many great debuts.

Evening Rich,

I’m going to put Dylan and the Fabs to one side this week and go with:

1. The Velvet Underground & Nico (5pts)
2. The Doors
3. Songs of Leonard Cohen
4. Nick Drake - Five Leaves Left
5. The Who - My Generation (1pt)

HM’s: Otis, Jimi, Stooges, Byrds, Ronettes, Walker, Buckley

I would love to think my grandchildren would too. Timeless as you say.

Yes what a life she lived. Didn’t she have a little fling with George or John?

Sounds like a great night!

That’s brilliant. Where did you meet her?

Thanks, Kate. I have an interview on Friday. I’m hoping I get something which starts on the 1st of March. I don’t like these cold mornings 😊🤞🏻

I just played this on my daily walk after seeing your recommendation yesterday. Absolutely superb! After all this time how do these ‘lost’ classics keep appearing. The main reason I still use X / BS is to find these gems when unearthed. It sounds like 90’s Neil Young fronting Cream on first listen!

It’s got to be the favourite

Good to hear. I’m not too bad either thank you. I was made redundant in Sep last year so I’ve been a ‘man of leisure’ of late while trying to work out what to do next. Agreed on the Velvets. Very few artists arrive that ready made.

What albums are you thinking of? Any favourites from this period? P.S. I hope you’re good?

Will look at 50’s and 60’s soul next, starting with Presenting the Fabulous Ronettes. This is going to be a tough one 😬
