I get emails all the time for two people with the same name as me. One has a middle initial that's easily missed - I found her on LinkedIn and forward stuff clearly for her. The other I can't get hold of (because I don't know her email!) but her correspondents seem to think I'm a scammer...

Hi @curzon.com! Your new app is absolutely dreadful, unfortunately. I’ve updated but it’s totally unusable. Please bring back the functionality of the old one, which was great!

On an eleven-hour flight from St Lucia to London, in economy on a full plane. The older lady sitting beside me was suffering from dementia and kept slapping me. Quite hard. I was moved to the only available seat, the cabin-crew jumpseat, so spent eight hours sat bolt upright and backwards.

Large digital screens on the exterior of the Outernet London building display a blue‑and‑yellow message reading “London stands with Ukraine,” alongside a heart in Ukraine’s flag colours. People walk past at street level.

On the fourth anniversary of the illegal invasion of Ukraine, my thoughts are with the tens of thousands of Ukrainians who call London home.

The people of Ukraine have shown incredible resilience in the face of unbearable loss and suffering. London stands with you today and always.

The idea of a "regulated sexual economy" is deeply disturbing.

The MAHA Women Who Refuse to Give Up Their Botox For some members of the movement who have otherwise overhauled their lives to be largely free of needles and “toxins,” botulinum gets a pass.

I’m not anti-Botox at all, although I haven’t gone down that route yet, but this is absolutely wild. Yes to Botox but no to vaccines is a ridiculous position. www.thecut.com/article/maha...

I’ve been lucky enough to see a Nobel Prize in person. It’s a fairly small metal plaque in a simple presentation box. Very understated. The fact that An Actual Nobel Prize has to be blinged up tells you a lot about the current situation.

Ragu is protein.
Parmesan is protein.
Spaghetti is not protein - but it is delicious.
I see no issues with your decision-making here.

Every so often I worry that algorithms know way too much about who I am and how I think and I should do more to maintain my privacy.

Then I get a personalised ad in Gmail suggesting I might want to join the British Army - an impressive level of mistargeting.

I think we'll be alright, folks.

And now we’re on Alanis Morissette. I am never leaving this café.

And now they’re playing Creep by Radiohead.

Clearly my 15-year-old brain is the author of this playlist.

I had to sit in and see what they played next. And I was not disappointed.

Every Me, Every You by Placebo.

Clearly whoever has put on this playlist is also a 39-year-old former goth. And I am having the best time.

Popped into my local cafe in Walthamstow for a coffee and a croissant and - I kid you not - they’re playing Nine Inch Nails.

Specifically - they’re playing Closer.

And it’s amazing.

Even I, who rarely posts here and has zero public profile, got about sixty new followers overnight. No idea why.

I have seen some suggestions that long-term use of these medications may have a significant negative impact on bone density, which for women in particular with higher risks of osteoporosis in later life could be a big deal. I'm sure this is solvable though!

As someone who quite likes dogs, but doesn't want to own one ever, the British willingness to allow dogs EVERYWHERE ALL THE TIME, particularly actual restaurants, remains deeply confusing to me.

I think it depends where in Italy. I find that in Florence / Milan people generally speak back to me in English, in Rome they seem relieved to be able to speak to me in Italian, and in more rural areas often it's just more practical for me to speak in my broken Italian as English isn't guaranteed.

Some fantastic people on this list - very exciting!

I mean, it's clearly not a vulgar word, but it *sounds* vulgar - I wonder if that's part of the reason why?

This sounds like a dystopian remake of cult 1990s kids' show Knightmare. A large horned helm and some terrible CGI might be welcome additions to jazz up the Budget.

A strong immigration system doesn't need to be a cruel one.

It shouldn't need saying - but refugees & asylum seekers are real people, fleeing war and persecution.

This daughter of an immigrant is proud of our British and Labour values of respect and not turning our backs on people in real need.

Check out this 1 bedroom flat for rent on Rightmove 1 bedroom flat for rent in Barbican EC2Y for £2,600 pcm. Marketed by Hamptons, City

I was idly looking at apartments to rent in the Barbican (a girl can dream, right?) and came across... well, this.

I have absolutely no idea why someone would turn a Barbican flat into a weird characterless white cube.
