By demanding Ridglan deal with this in conjunction with the state, means they can’t just sell the dogs to another research breeder or euthanize them. They deserve homes. They deserve families. But this could take time and must start now.
We need a plan to release 2000 dogs without overwhelming facilities in multiple states. Otherwise, dogs that come to the upper Midwest from other states to meet their new homes can’t due to full facilities, creating consequences for those dogs as well.
The legal settlement over 300+ alleged violations at Ridglan beagle farm in WI mandates closing down breeding beagles to sell to researchers.
But there are 2000 beagles to re-home. WI @widatcp must work NOW with Ridglan to re-home them or the dogs could face dire consequences.

Currently, we have gerrymandered Congressional maps in WI causing a 50/50 state to have 6 GOP/2 DEM members, not 4/4.

WI’s Congressional maps are very gerrymandered. For a 50:50 purple state, we should have 4 Dems & 4 GOP. Instead, we have 6 GOP & 2 Dems due to gerrymandering.
The WI Supreme Court can change that & give us fair maps if they prioritize a case before them. Now is the time!
