For those who dont follow me on other social media, I brought my painting setup while thru-hiking the arizona trail, an 800 mile trail that goes through one of the US states. I forgot which. Kansas, maybe?

Heres a couple Mt. Humphrys.

A most unusual weevil poses on a green leaf. The wing covers on the abdomen are a brilliant ruby red, while the rest of the insect is shiny black. The thorax is angled to point up, and then the long, twig-like neck angles down to the horizontal - between the neck, thorax, and abdomen, there is a distinct bend in the animal's body. The head is small and two long antennae with reddish tips point forward in a wide V shape.
