To everyone who still believes in rule of law over rule of one man: we're allowed to disagree with each other. We don't have to be vicious about it.

Wishing this fabulously competent—and joyful—crew a safe return to a planet that, frankly, doesn't deserve them.

This is what a rigged system looks like.
FBI agent Denise played by David Duchovny and Dale Cooper, played by Kyle Maclachlan, Twin Peaks 1990
David Duchovny played a transgender woman, Denise, on Twin Peaks in 1990 and when greeting Cooper, the show's protagonist, she says, "I prefer Denise, if you don't mind" and Cooper responds with "OK" and her identity is settled within a couple seconds and was a non-issue, 36 years ago.
Iran,
If you’re listening, please publish the unredacted Epstein files.
Thanks
Worst deal maker of all time.
They have paywalled away many features so they can then do these kinds of stunts. Insanity.
She didn’t know what she was voting for?
They have waited too long.
Why release that statement to then do nothing?
I suppose nobody won this shutdown, but doesn’t look like we can say Democrats lost.
Where things stand:
✅House GOP hates Senate DHS funding deal
✅House plan: 60-day CR w/$ for ICE/Border Patrol
✅Dems: That's DOA in Senate
✅Trump has left for Florida
✅House votes likely on Saturday
✅Senate currently out until April 13
✅This is Day 42 of the DHS shutdown
Jared Kushner is claiming to be a "volunteer" in his work as an envoy.
But I don't think someone qualifies as a "volunteer" in a job where they are trying to shake down everyone they deal with for monetary compensation.
Some are just happy he’ll be leaving the Senate.
Just a partial list of the amendments submitted by Senate Democrats to the SAVE America Act. After 3 days, the Senate has not voted on any amendments or motions to the bill.
This is what was once called an “unfunded mandate.”
This is what he wanted.
Trump lashes out at US allies for refusing to help with the war against Iran
Who is we? Shareholders and executives aren’t us.
Nothing can be an “imminent threat” for 47 years. That’s not what imminent means. And if Iran were truly an imminent threat, why didn’t Trump act during the first four years he was already president? MAGA will say anything to justify the nonsense and we need to call it like it is

In Georgia, if you want to renew your driver's license online, you have to do a video verification with Incode Technologies: a VC-backed vulture looking at a $3 billion valuation riding on government mandates.
People pushing the SAVE Act (and HAVA too) should have to register as AAMVA lobbyists. States already on the "voter ID" train, such as Georgia, are paying them tens of millions of taxpayer dollars annually.
I want to thank the Atlanta Journal-Constitution for letting me write a weekly column for the past 5 years. My final column is pretty simple - Congress can do better, but so can the state of Georgia. No paywall, read it at this link -->

Mike Johnson has led the most do-nothing Congress in modern history.
House GOP leaders are trying again to block any votes on Trump's tariffs through the end of July. This is tucked into a rule vote on Tuesday.
They’ve learned to love unfunded mandates and to hate block grants at the same time.
I can imagine how that would lead you to major problems at the polls. Their only intent could have been to dissuade people from voting at all.
