The egg itself is key'd, Using a Child Of modifier at first to follow the body, before it's influence is set to 0.

For the rolling, I set the 3D cursor as pivot point and set it where there was a contact between the egg and a surface.

For the slit stretch, that's just a couple of blendshapes.

Done, all three slots went, that was... far faster than I thought!
