The big ol cat and I made it home this afternoon around 4pm. He wasn't groggy from the anesthesia. Quite the opposite. He was pacing all over the place (while stumbling), high as a kite, and paranoid. He's finally calmed down now, thanks to a little gabapentin. He had to have 1 tooth extracted.

Just dropped this big fella off at the vet for a dental exam and cleaning. I think he may have some mouth pain. It'll be his first time under anesthesia so if there are any black cat good vibes out there, send them his way. (I also need good vibes)
I totally agree.
WUNC article describing Biggie Smalls time in Raleigh, NC
Did you know Biggie lived in Raleigh for a while? I didn't know that one either.

Totally wasn't expecting to read that today.
I was today years old when I found out that some of Tupac's ashes and his headstone are in Lumberton, NC.

Yeah no, we're not in a war. They totally want automakers to make cars for their excursion. Ya know, just a little trip through the woods. A side quest, if you will. 🙄

A buddy of mine and his GF are both high school teachers. Their dog got into some caffeine gum and is racking up a vet bill. I know I'd do anything for my pets. If you can help support a couple public school teachers in their effort to save their friend, please donate or share.

Man, they send weird grifter texts. And idk how I got on this list.
Lots of news outlets reporting on Vance leaving the peace talks. Only one is putting the important part in the headline.

ICE agents shot another driver -- on Tues.
He had just asked to call his wife.
They shot him six times. One bullet his jaw.
Now he can't speak and has been mostly unconscious.

Wonder what the Coosa Steel guy thinks about this. He didn't make US steel cheaper, he made foreign steel more expensive. Then lowered the price and still used foreign steel when it was convenient to him. It must be so nice to have the WH made out of foreign parts.

NEW: Trump accepted $37m worth of donated steel for his WH ballroom project from the Luxembourg-based company ArcelorMittal.
Days later, the WH made adjustments to Trump's tariffs that could benefit ArcelorMittal.
We are now up to $8.65 a bag of coffee at my local Lidl. Up from $5.99 in Nov 2024. A 45% increase.
For all the “pallets of cash” that Republicans were screaming about Obama delivering to Tehran as part of the Iranian nuclear deal a decade ago, Trump has just agreed to strengthen the Iranian regime in ways the Ayatollahs could only have dreamed of back then. open.substack.com/pub/saltypol...
TACO Trump agreed to a deal in which we pay $2,000,000 per ship that goes through the Strait that Iran will use to rebuild the damage we've done. We're going backwards. #TrumpIsALoser #TrumpLied #TrumpLost Gift link.

To clarify, Vance should also resign. I'm not sure any of this gets better with Vance in power. Perhaps it gets worse.
25th Amendment. This is not us. This does not represent us.
Perhaps the same location as Marilyn Monroe.
Murphy's? I need to know this story.
PS: I overheard a Canadian chatting with someone and saying they feel like there are more Americans moving across the boarder than in past years. Gotta say, it's a breath of fresh air on the other side of the boarder. It seems relaxing.
There are a ton of tourists here from all walks of life. Everyone is just existing. No issues. Hop over to the US side and you can cut the tension with a knife. I'm not doing a great job of explaining this but... Same attraction, 2 different countries, vastly different experiences (5/5)
It's been nothing but helpful, friendly, happy... neighborly. We went to a wine bar/bistro in a tourist area. It was near closing time. They told us they were closing but rather than turning us away, they offered us a glass of wine and even offered to pour us a second one. (4/5)
Outside of the non-white guy doing something to endanger others (he was not), the white dude was being waaaaay over the top. Serious superiority complex. But the Canadian side... (3/5)
On the US side, I saw a white dude with a goatee (park employee) yell at a non-white individual and initially deny him entry to the attraction. His daughter was crying and his wife was just trying to get out of the situation. Their day was most certainly hampered (2/5)
In the last 48 hours, I've spent a considerable amount of time at Niagara Falls on both the US side and Canadian sides... (1/5)
RFK Jr and Kash Patel lasted longer than Pam Bondi...BAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
