I don't understand AI companies.
1. There is no such thing as a "AI art generator worth adding"
2. I literally have "No AI" written in bold font at the top of my Creator Resources Masterpost. So all this email proves is that they couldn't even be bothered to read more than a paragraph.
Only 7 DAYS left to back the Magic of Inventorying Kickstarter.

These Strange Steppes is a tense, drama-packed #ttrpg that casts players as a group of horses who are exploring a ruined human town, trying to piece together what happened there.

I keep seeing posts advertising events at Vancouver's romance-focused bookshop, Perfect Match
I'm so tempted to reach out to them and offer to run an "Intro to TTRPGs" sort of thing, because I think a lot of romance novel fans would really love the idea of drama-heavy TTRPGs...

Recording prep for a future episode of @toonamiabsolution.bsky.social means its time to repost this.
Ever wanted to play a TTRPG while you play another TTRPG?
Then do I have the game of your (surprisingly specific) dreams!
AP Hearts is a game about Actual Play streamers trying to hold their show together, despite the cast's interpersonal drama.

Somehow, Dracula has found a jetpack.

The cool people at @rogue.site let me write about @chillasart.bsky.social, the indie horror studio whose unique business model has renewed my faith in gaming's future!
Bad news:
I've come up with a really stupid project at midnight.
Good news:
It is something you all might be able to get involved with.
(Yes, this is a threat)
From now on, I'll be ranking TTRPGs by how edible they look.
Streaming page for "Battle of Fates" reading "Korea's top 49 Fate Readers - from tarot readers to shamans fight for pride. Who will be the winner?"
I watched two episodes of this show, presuming it would turn into YuYu Hakusho or Inside Number 9.
Turn out it is just spiritualist Price Is Right...
No matter how much changes, the internet has one constant.
No matter how praised or beloved your project is.
The second you try and make any money from it, people will turn on it and act like all the praise never existed.

Mindnet Browser is a fun #SoloRPG where players explore an alternative reality version of the early 2000s internet, finding numerous weird and wonderful website as they do.

Always funny to see Sailor Moon live shows where Chibi-Usa is a good 5-6 inches taller than all the other Scouts.
One I'm personally proud of is Mantigeist.
You play as a group of scientists trapped in an Arctic research base with a shape shifting monster.
The entire game is played over Google Drive, meaning you have to play it totally alone (and in the dark if possible)

Massive fan of Locus.
It really captures the Silent Hill vibe, and the pre-made adventures feature some really disturbing monster.

I honestly think QWOP is the best example, as the failure and struggle is the central point of the game.
If "Cozy Game" can be a genre.
"Stressful Game" should be one too.
It would be fun to write trashy romance again.
The big issue was how strict the structure was (like I had to have certain relationship milestones reached at certain word counts), meaning half my time was spent trying to think of plot points that fit the word counts.
When I was younger, a firm hired me to write a trashy romance Airport novel.
It was the most generic thing ever written (they gave me a specific structure to follow and I had to just fill in the gaps with stuff).
I have no idea if the book ever came out (and part of me deeply hopes it didn't).
Cover of James Bond 007: Role-Playing In Her Majesty's Secret Service
#15 - James Bond 007: Role-Playing In Her Majesty's Secret Service
Made by Victory Games and released in 1983, this game does a decent job of simulating a classic Bond film (even if I'm not a fan of its reliance on percentile dice)
Girl Underground Cover
#14 - Girl Underground
Inspired by Alice in Wonderland (and other such surreal adventure tales) this game has the players explore numerous weird and unusual locations.
A really fun PbtA title that doesn't get talked about enough.
Part of me is tempted.
But on the other hand, I'm at follow-up six right now.
