A meme based on screenshots from an episode of Rick and Morty in which Rick Sanchez has just given a newly created butter-passing robot an existential crisis. The robot has been pasted over with a graphic from the video game La-Mulana 2, a holographic ox traced in neon green on a dark red background, from the computer Brahma. The first panel, of the robot asking its purpose, uses a recurrent quote from La-Mulana 2 tablets, "What is creation?" The second panel, of Rick giving a devastating reality check to his creation, is littered with various responses to that quote from those same tablets: "Creation is simply floating in the purple darkness." "Amaterasu illuminated all with a red light. The lives born from that are creation." "undefiled, clear waters are creation" "assuming the form of a green snake, before leaving for battle. I love the vibe of The Seance at Blake Manor, and I'm glad I gave the creators money, but I am just gonna watch a playthrough, thanks. The optimization brain and failure aversion I got combined with the horror themes make it so I can't be in a good headspace playing it. Game is good, but not for me.

Speaking as someone who grew up in the days of people posting whatever multimedia class crap they made in Macromedia Flash to Newgrounds, that fear is kind of hilarious.

Understandable, don't get me wrong - the site's changed a lot - but still hilarious.

I don't use AO3 very much except to post, but if you'd rather communicate there than here, I have no objections.

I'm happy to talk about them, sure! Most of what goes on in that world is only in my head or still just 'vibes', but I certainly would listen to whatever thoughts you had about it.
