It's what they do. The administration didn't think anyone in Minneapolis would protect their neighbors, didn't think Iran would close the Strait of Hormuz or fire on our regional allies, etc. They don't understand people who aren't identical to them.

Starting a mid-decade redistricting war only to end up with -1 seats is the same fine strategic genius and subtle grasp of game theory that brough us the Strait of Hormuz.

With the result in Virginia, here's what we know about how mid-decade redistricting has shifted the landscape.

Across the 7 states with new maps:
—11 districts have shifted toward Democrats;
—9 districts have shifted toward the GOP.

the art of war: “you - yes, you, dipshit - need to feed your men and make sure they don’t get sick. no you are not exempt on the basis of being a very special boy. oh my god, why am I surrounded by idiots.”

War can have big environmental impacts, in addition to the human and economic impacts.

Large oil spills caused by US, Israeli, and Iranian attacks on energy resource facilities won't simply disappear when the war ends.

Iran going after Bsky is a genuinely funny waste of resources.

Best interpretation I can have of this is that I've said I have wanted to disempower suburban voters from having a say in urban crime control.

But not by, you know, actually disenfranchising them! Just by redrawing maps so big cities are all their own counties (like Philly).

So basically, countries are pushing for U.S. financial support, and if they don’t get it, they’ll look to China instead, putting pressure on the dollar.

It seems like a Prime Minister who continues to get his corruption trial delayed for years because his government is engaged in wars has a personal incentive to keep wars going as long as possible.

NASA and Mamdani are proving that Americans are desperate to see their money spent in ways they feel good about.

This, however, is not the same thing as simply spending the money on things we would feel good about but never know happened. People need to be able to see it.

If Hillary Clinton had to testify under oath to Congress about Epstein, why the hell hasn't Melania been brought in? Certainly far more connections to Jeffrey.
